Is the resort bad for mosquitos and is there much to do around the resort?
We went in June and there were no mosquitoes there isn't anything to do around there but the hotel does their very best to keep you entertained it is very relaxing
They spray your room every night so we didn't have a problem.
There isn't loads to do at the resort, they have candle making, yoga, cooking classes, it's about relaxation. You can do trips outside of the resort: diving, volcano walking, cycling to waterfalls, which they organise for you.
We went in November & did not have an issue with mosquitos at this hotel, I was bitten when we were in Seminyak at night time. But it was only a handful of bites. Just take a good deet spray with you.
There is nothing once you go out of the hotel other than the beach. The hotel has a huge daily programme of activities, such as star gazing in the pool, yoga etc. This hotel is more of a relaxing, get away from it all retreat. No TV's & wifi is only available at reception, so guests can switch off from the outside world.
If you want a mix of relaxation & nightlife, I would do a twin centre, taking in the Spa Village in Tembok & a nice hotel in Seminyak which has nightlife, upmarket restaurants, bars & shops. Then you are nearer to the airport for your return home.
The Legian, Seminyak Beach Resort & Alilia are some of the best top hotels in Seminyak.
I have stayed here three times now, in September this trip, which is dry and windy = hardly any bugs... and twice in February, which is wetter and nominally the mosquito season... and think I got bitten not more than twice, so the short answer is: Spa Village Tembok does *not* have much of a mosquito problem.
