I will be in Puerto Vallarta from January 8th to 15th and was thinking about fishing. I would really like to catch a marlin but I think they are out of season as are the large tuna. (correct me if I am wrong) Sailfish would be the next choice along with dorado. I would likely be the only one fishing but my brother would be along for the ride and I might talk the wife into coming as well. I don't think I would like a super panga and would like a boat larger than 30' that is fairly fast and equipped with first class equipment as well as first class captain and first mate. I think the trip should be about 8 hours. What would you suggest and would January 11th be a good day?
Hola Doug, thanks for your message.
At the moment, an 8hr charter gives you the possibility to target roosterfish, jack crevalle, skipjack, sailfish and mahi.
All our charters are guided by tournament winners captains and crew.
It will be a pleasure assisting you and giving you an accurate fishing report by January 10th so you can decide the lenght of your fishing charter.
Please inquire directly through our contact email form and mention my name so I can respond personally.
I can send details regarding our available options and all info required.
Looking forward to hearing from you Doug!
When we went fishing, The Sailfish were hard to come by but we still went for them. We only had one bite all day and that is what we landed. I am so glad that we took a bigger boat than the super panga, It was more money but well worth it. We elected to charter the boat for the 2 of us instead of a shared charter with people we did not know, which worked out great because we only landed 1 fish! The crew was awesome , very well organized no wasted time of catching live bait on the way to the fishing grounds and then while fishing Gabriel was always checking bait and changing changing it out when needed. Not sure about your fishing date, but really recommend this boat and crew.
