HI Big Blue,
We are coming to St. John in late October 23-1st of November. Our friends will join us on the 25th -30th. There will be a total of 4 and would like to get some idea of chartering a boat and visiting some of the islands for the day. I would love to do a sailboat, however that darn motion sickness might get to me....All for suggestions and recommendations from your company as we are celebrating my 60th! Thank you
This is a common concern. In our 10 yrs of doing VI charters, I have had 2 guests on the powerboat have motion sickness.(both were also partially to much fun the night before!) We chose the Grady Whites specifically for the stability and have wristbands for a homeopathic motion sickness remedy.
Stay away from to much alcohol the day before and acidy foods like coffee, OJ, tomato sauce. you should be fine. Enjoy!
Do you also experience motion sickness in a car and on a plane ?Get a prescription from your doctor for your motion sickness. Otherwise any boat travel will not be good for you especially if you don't have sea legs.
No matter how great the boating experience with Big Blue is they can't help your motion sickness. If you go without a script you will be miserable and ruin the trip for yourself and all others involved.
