Hi, I am not sure if they accept the credit cards at the Castara Retreats. It is safer just to have cash (just in case that they didn't accept the card). We paid cash in all the restaurants in Castara. As far as prices, the Castara Retreats is more expensive than other restaurants in the village, but the food is AMAZING! If you like shrimps, you should try their Coconut Shrimp.....delicious. I went with my husband for a birthday dinner there and for 1 appetizer, 2 portions of main course, few bears and very tasty virgin pina colada, we paid 430TT which was approximately $100 CA. From what I recall the prices for main course started at 140TT (Jan 2017). For detailed menu and prices you can visit Castara Retreats own website.

There are other restaurants in Castara that serve very tasty meals (approx 100TT per person for dinner) but they don't have the same ambiance. Castara Retreats is perfect for a special occasion. We had a tasty meal at Riverside restaurant (BBQ night), We went to the BBQ and dance night at Cheno's café (they also serve nice breakfast and lunch) - reasonably priced. The restaurant on the main beach (Big Bay) also serves tasty dinners (approx 100TT per person). Please note that not all the restaurants in Castara are open every night (except for Caribbean Kitchen) but there is one or two places that are open. It seams to me that the restaurants there alternate their nights so all of them can make some money. Enjoy your trip. We have lovely memories from Castara and Tobago in general.

Very fee other options. There is a restaurant on the beach with a very limited menu. You can have a dinner for 25-30 us dollar.

Prices are very competitive for the arena and there are other restaurants both higher and lower in cost

I didn't see the bill but the menu was varied and approximately £12 for mains and £5 for both starters and desserts. Nice jug of cold water free and of course you take your own alcohol as they don't have a licence. They do have soft drinks but don't know the prices. There are no other restaurants nearby in the evening but this one is certainly worth 1 or 2 visits in a week. Hope this helps and you enjoy. Jealous if you are there now!!

For 3 of us with main course, dessert and a couple of drinks it cost around £50. We ate there a lot and were not disappointed. There are not many places to eat in Castara. We ate in the Beach house on a music night. The food was a little bit cheaper but not as good as Casara Kitchens.

Hi Jane.

You can see the menu and prices of Castara Retreats' restaurant, Caribbean Kitchen, by visiting the hotel's website and clicking on "Caribbean Kitchen".

While there aren't other restaurants in Castara Village, there are a few places which serve breakfast & lunch at reasonable prices.

Sorry about the delay in responding; I've only just installed the Trip Advisor app.

Hope I've helped :)
