How long do you need to hold your breathe underwater while going under and through the cave? Or can you swim with your head above water at all times with life jacket?
I know it all depends on tides but curious to see various expeiences.
Also I'm reading about 60-100 yards? Will a panga be able to get closer?
Are there any tour companies that offer an abbreviated tour? We are hoping for something less than 5 hours, but still including secret beach access.
Can the "Hidden Beach" in Islas Marietas be visited at any time during the day? Or does it need to be during low tide?
Most of the tour companies have a very early departure on the tour date we have booked, but the tides in the morning are higher than those in the afternoon.
We will be in PV during peak season Dec. 27-Jan. 1. I called La Cooperativa del Turismo in Punto de Mita, and they said they are fully booked during that time.
Do other tour operators go there? Is it possible to set foot on the secret beach inside the island via one of these companies.
I know there have been a lot more regulations established in the last year or so. Please let me know if these regulations are something I should be concerned about.
Does anyone know the age requirement? I will be traveling my my 16 year old brother and 6 year old son. I've been here before and would really like to take them.
