Does anyone know of places to park a car (for about 1 week) somewhat near the trail (any portion)? Please include price estimates if you know them. Thank you!
We (my husband & I) are planning to bike the trail tip to tip Sep 2016, bring our own bikes & travelling in a camper van. Is there a secure place to leave the van while we are biking? Hope to do the trail in 5 to 7 days, but wondering how to get back to Tignish from the other end. Also in the guide there is a portion of the trail that is marked Medium to Hard, what is meant by hard? Is it just because of the distance on that particular portion or is there something else that makes it difficult? We are seniors and relatively fit but definitely not athletes! What kind of cost are we looking at for the B&B's along the way? Are there places to buy snacks & water, etc. and toilets along the trail? What kind of clothing is advisable for that time of year? Thank you in advance for your response.
My daughter (35) and myself (65) are planning to ride the complete trail in September, we do a lot of trail riding but some of the older reviews talked of "quick sand" conditions and "lose gravel". We want to be prepared. Is this still a problem in certain areas?
