I must start off by praising the entire crew, from housekeepers to wait staff to tour guides. They were all great! The cabin was very small, no place to sit-had to go on deck or the lounge (which was very nice) to read or otherwise relax. We were placed in the lowest deck. The cabin had very small windows and was quite dark. The food ranged from excellent to inedible. There was always pasta to fall back on, but I cannot eat pasta. They served tilapia-a bottom fish that I would never serve or eat. The salmon substitute was inedible, as was the meat loaf. The turkey was terrible, but the lamb chops great. All the deserts were wonderful. I didn't like the soups which were served at both lunch and dinner-very thin and not much flavor. The ports visited along the Rhine and Mosel were charming and interesting. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and presented Germany's history in a very objective way. The other passengers were very interesting and added to the trip. All-in-all, I won't go on Grand Circle again. I think there are other river boat lines that are far better. In addition, I found that the staff of Grand Circle was very rigid-no flexibility at all.

A friend and I did our first river cruise with Grand Circle Cruise Line on the River Harmony ship. The itinerary was from Basel, Switzerland to Antwerp, Belgium entitled "Romance on the Rhine & Mosel Rivers." We were able to visit 5 countries directly on the river (Switzerland, Germany, Alsace region of France, the Netherlands, and Belgium.) There was also an optional trip to Luxembourg for those who wanted to go. That trip was by bus. Each day there were interesting things to do, and the crew was phenomenal. There were three program directors on board, and the passengers were assigned to one of the three directors. Our program director was Rebecca, and she was terrific. I absolutely loved the cruise, and I will go again on another river cruise. The food was really good. Every morning you can get an omelet if you want it, and other days they offer local specialties. The captain was extremely friendly, and all crew members were wonderful. They also had a massage therapist on board, Stoyan, from Bulgaria. He was wonderful ... I had three massages on the 2 week trip! I highly recommend this cruise. Pre trip and post trip land extensions are also available. We did both - spent time in Lucerne, Switzerland and Bruges, Belgium.

First, our flights were delayed and we missed the first day in Bruges. Then our bags were lost for four days. Tough place to buy replacement clothes. Cabin onboard was okay, pretty snug. Twin beds were comfortable. TV was not worth turning on, we didn’t. Food was good so was service. House Red was lousy but white was good. Upgraded wine was good. Bartender, Bob was great. Walking tours were the best! Terrific guides!!! Trip ended early as wife caught Covid. From then on out, we were on our own in Belgium.

We had a very good time it was our first riverboat cruise GCCL was a very excellent. We will do another riverboat cruise with them. They don’t advertise only by word of mouth and they less expensive then all other. We had a great tour director in Rebecca from Netherlands she is excellent. The food was better than ocean going cruises
