What the heck!! Over 5 hours to board a ship .. and we did all the paper work before we left. We got to the Port at 1130 our boarding time was between 12 1230. Had to look for a luggage taker. Then stood for 5 freezing hours on lines. And I paid good money for this trip. I DIDNT SEE NO NCL STAFF HELPING OUT. my husband has bad legs and thus put a damper on the trip. He was sore for days ahead. I'm a diabetic and developed a headache ,due to no food. It was a terrible experience waiting to get on. So with that being said the trip didn't start off so good. Once on board the trip was ok but that boarding experience was always on my mind.

Our cruise started with waiting in four lines for a total of eight hours. Our check-in time was 1:30, we arrived then and finally reached our cabin by 9:30. They provided hot chocolate and orange juice to those waiting in line but towards the end only two people are processing e-check ins because the other staff had gone home. The shore excursion for Virginia Beach was cancelled because of this. My adult son had an alright time, though they messed up the 18-21 mixer the second night by also concurrent scheduling a dance lesson for seniors in the same venue. Nobody stuck around after that and nobody showed up to the mixer the following night. The teens club didn't have any structure but a room with a air hockey table and a couple of other things, so my second son spent most of his sea time playing the our Switch in the room. Kids club drop off was closed and the parental supervised option, described by my nine year old, it was mainly activities for three year olds- my wife didn't like it either because the splash room had an open door policy, meaning anyone could enter and leave as they please, regardless of if they had a kid. With the exception of the Churascarria, the food at American Diner and Savor tasted like it was made by the same bland buffet chefs. Our stay in Bermuda was nice. Don't take the Norwegian shore excursions unless maybe you're an only rider? A taxi cab for five people to Horseshoe beach costs less than $50 each way. The ship's fee is $49 per person. Likewise if you want to go to Crystal caves, it's a $100 by taxi, the tour of crystal cave is 25 each person. Then 30$ taxi to St George ferry which is free. The musical shows were great. Our room steward was great. We tried to avoid another seven hour line in disembarking by getting in line early. They wanted everyone to believe they could off load everyone within an hour. However when we got off we weren't told to grab our luggage before going through customs. We were told a lady upstairs would get it for us. Then that lady called the previous lady that nobody was getting our luggage, we'd have to wait three hours for everyone to disembark. Starts with an inefficient line and ends the same way. Will instead go to Norway instead of Neverending Cruise Lines next time we want to drop several grand on vacation.

I would like to start off saying that I have traveled with NCL before and had a great experience. We were very excited to book or 2nd trip with them. This time it's on the getaway. We booked to 2 rooms because we have 5 people in our party. We were very excited about the trip when we booked but now we are getting upset. Just today, 5 days before departure we were just informed by email that there are additional fees to be able to visit the island of Bermuda. It's $40/per person for the Travel Authorization. I thought this was very suspicious so I called the NCL hotline. Initially, I spoke to someone he stated, "I have no idea what that is". Therefore, I asked to speak to a supervisor and the transferred me to Ms. Wantanish Williams (resolution supervisor). My complaint was that why are we finding out about this 5 days before sailing. Her explanation was this had just gone into effect by the Bermuda Authority. When I searched on line it actually became in effect on March 7, 2022 which was before when we booked. I obviously was given the wrong information and she was not admitting to it. This was very upsetting after the fact that we spent nearly five thousands dollars already booking with them. Another surprise because we are traveling with another family is that we found out that Splash Academy has closed down for whatever reason. When asking about this she claimed it has always been closed down. I laughed because when speaking with there sales team in booking it was part of there pitch. I have 3 kids we were looking forward in dropping them off there. Now instead of having some alone time with my wife we have to watch them 24/7. In the email they sent us about 10 days from sailing that I found in my junk mail. They said they will compensate us $100/per each child in arcade credit. Clearly this is not an equal value. VERY DISAPPOINTED ON THIS ONE! When I asked Ms. Williams about cancelling our cruise she said she would not be able to give us full credit. I feel like I just got had. I don't know what happened to this cruise line but I am very disappointed. WE WOULD OF NEVER BOOKED IF WE KNEW SPLASH ACADEMY WAS CLOSED. PLEASE TELL YOUR SALES TEAM TO LET PEOPLE KNOW BEFORE BOOKING!

We just finished a cruise on the Norwegian Getaway and had a wonderful time! While all the staff were helpful and courteous, we wanted to specifically mention the staff at O’Sheehans. The waiters were friendly, quick, and efficient! Rachel Rodriguez is the best bartender you could ask for; she always made us feel welcome and provided exceptional service. Our cabin steward, Richard, ensured we had everything we needed and always greeted us with his friendly smile.

Since we cruised with NCL, we always had a cabin with un-obstructed balcony. A nice balcony was our number priority in selecting a cabin. We've been in mini-suites, penthouse, haven, and standard staterooms with nice or large balconies. This was our 14th cruise with NCL, and we are now at Sapphire level. We were excited to see our Haven Suite, 9706 on embarkation day. But that excitement was short-lived when we found out that we were seeing people from our bedroom window. I immediately contacted the Guest Services and requested another suite. We were told that all Haven Suites were occupied. On our 1st night, my husband and I were not able to sleep because of loud and screeching noises from the deck below. After breakfast at the Haven Restaurant, the Concierge, Omar, gave us 2 new keycards. One w/c can open our Haven Suite but without our name on the card, and another, with my name, that can open cabin 9804, to "sleep in". Then, we went to OSheehan for lunch. I ordered the "Drink For Today" handing the waiter my blank key. He came and told me that the key was no good. I gave him 2nd key. He returned and said no good. I gave him my old and first keycard. Void. I got my drink only when my husband gave the waiter his key. The keycards that Omar gave me were invalid in all venues. When I saw him again, he gave me my 4th key specifying that he put my "middle name" in the card. When my husband went to the sleep-in room, his own keys then won't open the door. Our Butler got a new key for my husband. Due to bad weather, the ship cancelled 2 ports. It was very windy and rough sailing on March 12. We heard howling and shrieking noises coming from our balcony. Apparently, the doors were poorly fitted. Curtains were sucked into the door frames. It was a hard struggle to open our cabin door to go out to the hallway. Once we got home, I read my email from Norwegian about our billing statement. I was surprised to see our Statement of Account used the Sleep-In Cabin (9804) as our Primary cabin. We were charged for a Room Service Fee. Guests at Haven Suites were exempt from the fee. We did not receive onboard discount for purchases at the duty-free shop. When we booked this cruise, we were not advised that our balcony is obstructed, and that the window in our bedroom looked out at Furnitures and Crew personnel on their breaks and parties. Our travel agent said that she was not aware about the obstructed balcony, etc. for an expensive suite. Else, she would have told us. This cruise made us re-think about booking again an Expensive Suite with Norwegian. It was the worst cruise we ever had! My husband and I were very disappointed with NCL.
