Our 4 night cruise from Miami to the Bahamas turned nightmarish when we were forced to quarantine for 30 hours, which began on the second day of our cruise, as we 4 had supposedly come into direct contact with a COVID positive passenger. Our pleas were totally disregarded as to where, when and how this exposure occured, especially since we were exceedingly vigilant in taking every precaution in order to avoid this potential problem. There was not a time when we spent 15 cumulative minutes with anyone, and always remained socially distanced greater than 6 feet apart. As an RN married to a physician, we questioned the unrealistic protocol performed by the medical staff. We were rudely told that we were unable to speak with the security staff in order to seek proof of our supposed exposure and, once set free from what seemed like imprisonment, the offer from the ship's guest service representative was an insulting small credit towards a future cruise. We have no interest in cruising with Royal Caribbean again, despite the many past cruises we have taken with them, as the entire situation that we experienced was so poorly handled. With regret, we no longer will recommend cruising with this line. The stress, frustration and disrespect, aside from being robbed of our right to know the answers to our questions, has truly left a indelible mark that nobody deserves.

I had the time of my life. This company has there Covid-19 procedures down packed. We were tested before getting on the ship and we all were social distancing and we all wore mask. I know people are saying that this is not the time to cruise but I disagree. This ship can hold over 4,000 passengers not including staff but because of Covid-19, they had half the amount of people on the ship. The elevators weren't full, the top decks weren't full. I could move around the ship without bumping into someone. I don't think anyone got or had Covid-19 on this cruise. My experience with the initial booking was great but when I needed to make changes, it was a hassle. Now, the cabin was great, we had a balcony and we were close to the elevators which was amazing (no long walk down the hallway). Our beds were made 3-4 times a day. The housekeepers are phenomenal. The food in the main dining area was great but the breakfast buffet didn't have a big selection like I'm use to. The food was okay in the buffet, just use salt and pepper. The entertainment was great however, if your not vaccinated, your not allowed to go into some of the areas on the ship. We did not get off the ship to see the Bahamas but We did get off when we stopped at Coco cay (royal Caribbean private island) I enjoyed the Island and the service. I prefer to cruise during Covid-19 because there are less people on the ship. If Royal Caribbean continue with half capacity, I will be sailing a lot during 2022.

I booked a cruise for 3 nights, spending a day at Coco-cay and one day at Nassau. I was informed that the cruise has now changed and instead of a day in Nassau, it will just be a day at sea due to some construction at the port in Nassau. Even though I understand that there are limitations/changes that can arise I expect Royal Caribbean to compensate their customers for it. They made a major change in my itinerary with no option to reschedule/cancel my cruise. I was told to just accept it. Nassau was the main reason for booking this cruise. I was excited to shop and explore the island. What is even more infuriating is that they are still advertising this cruise with a day at Nassau on their website - this is false advertising! I feel sorry for other people who book the cruise now thinking they will spend a day at Nassau.

It should be noted that we made the trip to use the credit of a cruise that was not done in 2020 due to a pandemic, what was a 7-day cruise became a 4-day cruise and we still had to pay 1,200 more dollars, and only to get on ship be ready to start paid more and more, they charge you for everything… crazy, the service is excellent, but the food is bad, very bad, unless you decide to pay the special restaurants that cost 40 dollars per person per night, the royal island, Coco Cay is another madness, to have a chair on the beach you have to pay as an excursion, my recommendation is stay in the ship and enjoy it when is less crowded and don’t waste your money.. To travel in cruise right now is not the best choice unless you do not want to loose your credit, because they are traveling with fewer guests due to the health situation that we are going through, but they want to charge you for everything , they want to continue earning the same money with fewer guests, There are many restrictions for those who are not vaccinated, so that is super good if all are vaccinated and you feel safe, but very bad for families with younger kids, they can't do much on the ship... We traveled with vaccinated teenagers daughters and it was very safe and wonderful but extremely expensive , I'm not sure it's worth to travel on a cruise right now, you better to go to an all inclusive resort where you know how much it will cost you and get the food and service quality that you paid with no surprises.

The worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company. They would not let us on the cruise because the “computers” were put away and now they refuse to refund any part of the cruise. They lie to you and tell you they will then they deny you any refund. They are terrible. Book any other CruiseLine.
