We went for a 4 day getaway on Liberty. I have to say it was just wonderful I hear so many negatives but it was only positives for us. The food service and entertainment was great I still talk about how much fun we had

We did this Cruise as a fact finding trip for a later sailing. Bring a very large group on same trip in 8 months. We had a inside cabin this time. We normally do at least a Balcony, but this was on the company dime LOL. Boarding was very easy. Staff all over the ship was great. Food was good. Wife loved the Spa. Drinks were strong and very tasty. Even though we had a inside room, it was well keep. Nassau was fun. We stayed in town and just walked the shops. Freeport was OK, but not the best port of call. Once we got back to Orlando, getting off ship was very easy as well.…

We decided to go on a cruise with some good friends. Though we had different interests, both couples found plenty to do. There is something for everyone on these cruises. It was our first 4 day cruise, but felt like there was so much more for us to do & to see. We would do another short cruise anytime! The personnel on this cruise were outstanding! They go out of their way to help you! Awesome crew, awesome staff!…

Carnival is a value cruise, but you get what you pay for. For those on a tight budget, this may be great value for the cabin costs, all-inclusive variety of food options, onboard entertainment options, free kids club, and the ability to visit foreign destinations at a low travel price. For those higher on the socioeconomic ladder looking to use vacation time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, you'll be left heavily disappointed: (1) Service: Not great - Guest services, a popular destination for those looking to resolve issues, is consistently and severely under staffed. (2) Room experience: We always book a balcony cabin or higher and it is always disappointing. One year, our refrigerators did not work and the crew had to deliver ice to keep our beverages warm. With the poor service, ice was delivered hours after requested. NBD, but one member of our group was a nursing mom and really needed to keep her supplies cool immediately. To top that off, her milk was discarded from the refrigerator and pump supplies discarded by housekeeping the next day. Carnival offerred no compensation for the loss. Other years, we were assigned rooms that did not accommodate our set up requests for the number of guests for said rooms. Two years, we had experience smelling the sewerage from our cabins. (3) Dinner service takes incredibly long. 2+ hours daily during vacation, let alone any other time, is time poorly spent to wait on food and service. Two years ago, they switched to a first come/first serve format for night 1. We were not notified and had to wait for our large party to be seated, when we intentionally selected an assigned dinner time to avoid this. (4) Port times: not a lot of favorable port arrival and departure times. For example, we had a 7am to 1pm port day on New Year's Day one year in Key West. Seriously not sure which passengers were excited to wake up super early on New Year's Day (after partying the night before on a cruise) to be able to experience the port. Not to mention the 6 hour window was not enough time, nor was it at the ideal time of the day when "must do" activities at Key West occur. (5) There doesn't seem to be any financial incentive for returning/loyal guests or booking early in advance (i.e. 6, 9, or 12 months). First, although Carnival offers a rate match if prices decrease for "early savers", our booking assistant stated that the burden would be on us to track prices and call back to get a refund. Additionally, we've received $50/person onboard credit in the past but were denied on recent bookings. (6) Onboard internet: spotty at best, even for the premium package. (7) Carnival app: very basic, but nice to have the app to plan activities vs having to take the daily paper flyers around the ship. I would recommend offering family/group plans to enable communication within the app. Otherwise, families/groups are limited to (a) meeting at designated locations/times, or (b) purchasing onboard internet packages for each guest, which can become pricing, while still being unreliable. All that said, we're looking to take our dollars to another cruise liner for this and future years' vacations. Best of luck Carnival.…
