My sister and I for our Birthday decided to splurge and pay a lot of money to do the Beach Club at Coco Cay. The day started poorly as they did not have enough trams to get everyone to the club in a timely manner. The message from the Captain was the weather would be perfect for the Day. We arrived at the club and the place was beautiful- very clean and set up beautifully. I went in the water for 30 minutes before heading to lunch. My sister and I had just sat down to eat and the sky burst. I am not talking a little rain but massive amounts. I am from Florida and am used to little rain bursts but this went on for an hour with no let up. Because of the way the beach club is made, rain came through the roof and went all over us and the food. After 30 minutes the staff began passing out raincoats. After 30 more minutes we decided to leave because there was a slight break in the weather. We waited another 15 minutes in drizzling rain and returned to the ship. Needless to say this was not "A Perfect Day At Coco Cay" The excursion should have been canceled and our money refunded. Needless to say it was not.

We just returned from a 6 day cruise on Allure of the Seas (10 Apr-16 Apr 2022). We were so happy to be able to cruise again, this cruise was one we booked last year for my daughters spring break but due to COVID had to postpone it. So, it was great to be able to cruise again with Royal Caribbean. We had a great time, Piya our cabin steward was outstanding. One of the nicest things about Royal Caribbean is how friendly all the employees are. They always take time to say good morning or hello. We opted for our standard room on the Oasis class ships, a balcony overlooking Central Park, which we find a bit more relaxing. My 8 yr old daughter really enjoyed hanging out at the Kid's Club making new friends. The food in the main dining room was very good as usual. I was not however impressed with the breakfast in the Windjammer, the food seemed somewhat bland this time around. I did like the new handwashing stations in the Windjammer, I would much prefer to wash my hands than using hand sanitizer. The cruise itself was very enjoyable for all of us as were the port calls of Cozumel, Roatan and Costa Maya. This was our first trip to Costa Maya and the cruise port facilities are the best we have been to. There is plenty of shopping, a large swimming pool with swim up bar and a bird aviary. We are already looking at booking our next cruise. We are considering booking yearly around my daughters birthday. The only negative comments I have relates to masks and the open skating. While masks are not required on the ship they are required when going ashore, however no one tells you that and so once we got ashore in Cozumel we had to go to the local pharmacy to purchase masks. We would have brought them with us ashore had we known we needed them ashore and save the money we spent. All in all we had a great time. As far as the open skate goes, my daughter takes ice skating lessons and was excited to skate on the Allure, however once on the ice she said she couldn't really skate because the ice was all chewed up from the previous open skate sessions. She ended up leaving early because she could really skate on the ice due to its condition. A recommendation would be to space out the open skate times so the ice could be repaired between sessions for a more enjoyable experience.

Prior to our April 4, 2021 cruise, we chose Future Cruise Credit for multiple canceled cruises. When the April 2021 cruise on the Allure of the Seas was canceled, I opted for a refund instead of the Future Cruise Credit, as Royal Caribbean has thousands of my hard-earned dollars tied up. I was told that I would receive a full refund within 45 days of my refund request. Please note that today's date is March 31, 2022, more than a year after my April 4, 2021 cruise was canceled, and I have only been refunded my port fees and a drink package. Royal Caribbean still owes me over $7000 for a cruise that was planned for my family of 8. My Royal Vacation Planner has been no help to me and referred me to the Royal Caribbean customer service phone number. I've been on hold for more than 35 minutes as I type this review. I don't envision any scenario where I could trust Royal Caribbean for a future cruise. Buyer beware!

We got another great deal which we couldn't pass up! This cruise started in Fort Lauderdale. We stopped in Cozumel, Mexico, Roatan. Honduras and Costa Maya Mexico. You definitely need to do the Eco Park Excursion in Roatan! The mask restrictions are lightening up and the prices are still VERY reasonable so if you want to enjoy a huge ship with smaller crowds this is the time!

Our family has been a loyal customer to Disney Cruise. We have taking more than 10 trips with our kids in the past few years. Our friends recommend us to give Royal Caribbean a try so I booked the 2 bedroom Star Level suite at Allure of the Sea for 4/10/22-4/16/22 with the final balance due date of 3/11/22. I booked the trip with Royal Caribbean agent directly via the phone. I called on 3/8/22 to ask for some questions. Both agents (the one I booked the trip with and the one I spoke with on 3/8/22) told me the final payment would be withdrawn from my credit card on 3/11/22. The Genie reached out to me on 3/9 to introduce himself and advise me to start planning my vacation. We have been in communication through now. I logged on the planning website to see the excursions. Everything seems working well at that moment and everyone in the family is so thrilled about this trip. On Sat 3/12/22 afternoon, I couldn’t see any activities or my trip anymore. I thought it’s a system glitch. I waited for a day and placed a long call (3 hours) with Royal Caribbean. The agent told me due to the insufficient payment, my trip was cancelled. She said I need to call in or log on to make the payment. It will not automatically charge on my credit card. I told them I can pay now and asked if anyone took the room. The agent said our room was not taken yet so she will help me to reinstate the itinerary. After few going back and forth, she told me my room was taken and she was wrong earlier. The only thing they can do is downgrading me to an one bed room suite. Don’t get me wrong. The one bedroom is still a very good option but however, it was not my mistake that Royal Caribbean sold my room to someone else without informing me. The original receipt said I will need to pay in full by 3/11 but did not say how I can make the payments. Since the agents I spoke with told me it will be withdrawn from my credit card which is the same way as Disney, I took their words. After three hours of conversation with agent and resolution team member on 3/13/2022 , they offer me no discount or any compensation about this situation. I told them they can listen to the recorded calls. They did and the resolution agent said I was right and felt bad for me but still nothing they can do. The resolution center rep told me they give 48 hours to keep the reservation after the due date but my payment due date was 3/11/22. They sold the room within a day not 48 hours they just mentioned. I felt insulated that there is nothing Royal Caribbean, the largest cruise company in the world, can do for me when the mistake is on them. We take the days off and book the hotel prior to the trip and flights. We are celebrating our big wedding anniversary on the cruise trip. This is not the type of service/commitment we are expecting. I thought I would find a better service cruise line than Disney with lots of good reviews from other families but again, I was totally wrong. I will never recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone in my life. Till now, there is no resolution to my case.
