We sailed out of cape Liberty last October on the Oasis. The experience of sailing out of NY harbor itself and the breathtaking views were incredible. The ship was about 1/3 capacity due to Covid, which felt like we had the ship to ourselves. The ship is huge, food and service was fantastic, accommodations were sufficient. The only negative about this ship was the occasional smell of cigarette smoke which was present at times in the main areas of the ship. Smoking is permitted on the very upper outside deck and in the casino which I believe was on deck 3. If you're a smoker that's not an issue, but being a former smoker from 40 years ago, it's very offensive. That is the only negative I have against the Oasis of the Sea, but wouldn't prevent me from booking again.

We just came back from the Royal Caribbean cruise (Apr 2022). It was a complete disappointment for us to discover, that ONLY boogie boarding (knee-boarding) is available for free on that FlowRider feature. It is not disclosed anywhere on their website or the RC app, but stand-up surfing is allowed for free ONLY for the advanced riders. If you are a beginner or an intermediate - you're required to book a private lesson for an additional $552! False advertising at it's best! We only found out about that while on the cruise, you're not made aware of that prior to sailing. My son picked this cruise specifically because of the FlowRider and was completely denied doing stand-up surfing unless we book a private lesson. Needless to say he was left very, very upset.

Oasis of the Seas is a beautiful cruise ship. My husband and I recently took a 4 night cruise leaving from Miami. We have been on many cruises but this ship stands apart in it's size and things to do and see. First boarding the ship was very fast and easy, minimal lines and waiting. We felt very safe once on board ( post covid) all staff were wearing masks at all times. We spent most of our day in the solarium so relaxing with no children under 16 allowed. Our other favorite spot was central park, we ate lunch at the central park cafe, the food was very good and we had yummy desserts there. We had breakfast every morning in the windjammer, no complaints there, plenty of variety and the staff was always asking if we needed anything and cleared the plates when we were done. The food in the dining room was average but the service overall was good. My only complaint was that we were served our coffee/tea after we finished our desserts. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants. As far as the entertainment: The aqua show is unbelievable, an engineering marvel, I wish we had seen it twice. The ice show was good, we also saw the magician and some of the comedians. You will not be bored on this ship always so much to see and do. There was plenty of music options all over the ship for example a jazz band could be playing or a piano player at the many bars on the ship. Our balcony cabin was a perfect size and the shower water pressure was excellent. Our room attendant was very nice and was available when we needed anything. There was so many interesting places to explore on the ship that we are actually looking forward to sailing on it again or one of the sister ships. Disembarking was so fast and easy. We did the self-assist taking our luggage right from our cabin and just walked off the ship around 8:30. It was amazing. This is a great ship for everyone young and old.

All of our previous cruises (7) were on Carnival, with the last being in 2006 to Alaska, we expected things have changed, and wanted to try a different cruise line to see if RC lived up to all the advertising hype. The ship itself is beautiful, but a bit too much for us (no kids, in our 50's). It is definitely built for families and we mostly hung out at the Solarium pools and whirlpools in the front of the ship. The food in the dining room was mediocre, but we did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants where we would have to pay extra for the "fancy" food. Our waitstaff in the dining room was excellent, and so was our room steward. The best excursion stop was at Coco Cay. The biggest disappointment was having our other two pre-paid excursions being cancelled with NO explanation and no suggested or comparable replacement snorkeling trips. So, we packed all of our snorkeling gear all the way to Miami and back to SFO and it never left the suitcase! Also, the Aqua80 show was cancelled or postponed 3 times while we were onboard. So, this will be our first and last cruise with RC. Going back to Carnival and have already booked a trip for next spring.

I bought the deluxe alcohol package hoping that premium scotch would be included as in the past, but they took it out. They only have cheap scotch, amazing after paying the amount they charge. The bar service was slow, it was a mission to get a drink. To get bottles of water was also a mission. I hope they get it together if not they are going to lose customers
