- Adrian BShanghai, China230 contributionsTangshan is a great place to visit. I would say this park is one of the best in Tangshan. - Douglas PBeijing, China271 contributionsI found this Memorial Hall to be an informative site that helped me better understand Tangshan and what the people had endured years before. When disaster strikes the character of the people is at stake and what I discovered was the people of Tangshan are strong and throughout my visit in Tangshan people would often share stories from what they personally experienced and how this disaster helped shape the Tangshan city of today. I had my passport with me so I had no issue with entrance.Written May 31, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Will ZAnkeny, IA1,121 contributionsI admire the person who came up with the idea of establishing the Ceramics Exhibition Hall years ago. This was a rare opportunity for me to have a guided tour in it to know how wonderful the ceramics products are and how talented the artists were. Surprised to see few visitors. Perhaps an annual city ceramics festival might help the hall better known to the communities and attract more tourists.Written August 4, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LibertybellePukekohe, New Zealand29 contributionsKailuan Mine Park was the first coal mine to be built in China. We had a english translator that took us firstly through the museum and then underground to a mining area where we could view the tools and structures they used throughout different times. We had to wear hard hats when we went underground also and caught a miners train back to ground level. A unique experience. Recommend more then the Tangshan Museum - it tells you more about the 1976 earthquake.Written December 20, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Traveler000090Tokyo, Japan49 contributionsThe home goods place was nice. Not terrible at all. A pretty lady talked to us about Haier refrigerators and gave us water and snacks.
Went up to the kids floor, the kid wanted to play with some toys. Turns out if we bought a toy, we could play with the Hot Wheels tracks on display for free. Bought a few cars and found out the tracks were broken.
Went to look at computers and tried to buy one. A customer nearby said not to buy a PC there, since he bought a "new" PC the day before and found out it was previously used. Asked the store person about that, and he emphatically denied using old parts, old stuff, old anything. All good. We tried to buy a PC, but there weren't any but the display model, which was wrapped in plastic. He assured us it was good, we asked him to turn it on, and it did nothing at all until we gave up on this store and left.Written May 9, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
