What travelers are saying
- Wayne BEnterprise, AL37 contributionsFolklore Brewing and Meadery
Live music, open kitchen and plenty of great tasting brews in an indoor and outdoor setting that will literally blow you away. Short distance off Ross Clark Circle, down Hodgesville Road to Hagler Road in Dothan to find the brewery, but once there you will be impressed - GUARANTEED!
The Service Team stems from the parking area as a greeter ushers you into an open parking spot, to the folks behind the food and beverage counters. Food was varied to satisfy anyone’s palette, everything from traditional Cajun items like gumbo, muffulettas, to Po’ Boys to seafood (fried shrimp, oysters, fish), chicken, burgers and some of the best hand cut French fries in the area. We enjoyed the muffulettas and Shrimp Po’ Boy with a plentiful side of fries. Food was tasty, hot and well-seasoned.
My guess is they have at least thirty, if not more varieties of brews on tap and a cooler for take home beers. The Brewery is open seven days a week and among the guests was a good mixture of age groups, children playing in the play area, people playing corn hole, others listening to the band, and some with their pets. The atmosphere is very laid back and enjoyable. Staff is super friendly and outgoing.
From reading the posted advertisements, they have a variety of events and activities throughout the month for multiple ages. One activity we plan to return for is the Pints & Paints.
Don’t think one could ask for anything better on a warm mid-summer evening - delicious food with cold beer and live music.Written May 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ALYancey’s2 contributionsWell worth the stop. A true Antique store with owner on site. Very well organized and great variety of collectibles. Hubby added to his Album collection and I added a unique beaded necklace to mine. - Rebecca JenkinsDothan, AL72 contributionsWas surprised how much fun I had with my niece and nephew! Definitely brought out the kid in me. Growing up in the panhandle, I was used to Big Kahunas, which had more slides, but this is a fun little spot to cool off on a hot summer's day. Wish they would expand because it can get a bit crowded.Written October 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wander MomRichmond, VA152 contributionsWe stopped in to break up a trip with our 3 kids (ages 8,8,6). We spent about 30 minutes here; it was perfect for a kick off to black history month. We learned about several prominent black Americans and their inventions and accomplishments. The woman at the front gave us a quick intro to the place, sharing the history that it was a bus station and how the station was set up to be segregated. While it didn't hold the interest of my kids for too long (nothing does at this age), I do think they learned a few new things! Thanks for a nice visit.Written January 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- nikkitouchtonDonalsonville, Georgia7 contributionsOur Girl Scout Troop is doing research on community gardens so that we may begin one in our own community. We asked Mr. Jackson if we could tour Aunt Katie’s Garden. Mr. Jackson and his volunteers went above and beyond to welcome us and he filled us with overwhelming information to help us get started. This is a diverse garden serving the needs of many and is a priceless asset to the city of Dothan. The story behind the garden is inspiring and beautiful and everyone should pay a visit to hear and see it for themselves! Thank you to Aunt Katie and Mr. Jackson for growing healthy food and love for your community.Written August 13, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KeithF928Dothan, AL296 contributionsJust returned from a sold out Vince Gill concert. Compared to bigger cities Dothan provides relatively easy in and out with no parking fees. Sound quality is acceptable if not great. Concessions and Alcoholic beverages are available at very reasonable prices. Very hard to find seats with the lights down. Overall a very good experience.Written August 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Cash JDothan, AL1 contributionAmazing garden center with lots to do for everyone. Butterfly garden, rare plants, coffee bar, and even a very impressive little record shop! Fun surprises and nooks around every corner, and plenty of staples for all gardening needs.
