The staff at the museum are friendly and knowledgeable and with some artefacts and stories to listen to this is an important part of Halifax's history however unpalatable it may be.
It is a little off "the beaten track" but we are very glad we made the effort to learn more about this part of Canada's history.

1) Basement Level: The Science of Rock 'n Roll exhibit was excellent, that's where we were able to play with musical instruments, mix sound and learn about the recording studio process.
The Planetarium offers fun, interesting shows for a small fee too, well worth a visit.

The museum located by the Shearwater Airforce Base contains a variety of planes and helicopters from World War II to the 1960s brought to life by Jim, an ex-serviceman, and now excellent volunteer guide.
The staff and volunteers were incrediably friendly and as it was quiet, we had a person tour with a guide who had a real passion for the planes and other exhibits, which include a wheel from a space shuttle!
