Nikolai Przhevalsky Museum
#1 of 4 Museums in Karakol
We visited the Nikolai Przhevalsky Museum in Karakol last summer while in the city and it is a great museum dedicated to the life and explorations of the Russian explorer.
Complete with stuffed animals, beautiful sketches, diary pages and maps, this museum gives a fascinating insight into the explorations of Nikolai Prezhevalsky.
Saimaluu-Tash Reserve Museum
#2 of 4 Museums in Karakol
In summertime you can always find a local guide, who will tell you about the paintings and other sacred stuff located at the museum under the open sky.
This open air museum was just fantastic to visit and get the history about the place and the exhibits which were in a huge paddock of rocks.
