- Charise MSanford, FL8 contributionsArlington Tram tour hits all the highlights, purchased at Arlington $18pp. We would have never seen it all on foot in a 1/2 day that we had. Well worth EVERY PENNY.Written June 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SylviaDetroit, MI9 contributionsNever traveled to this city (Alexandria Virginia) however was quite impressed with the beautiful architecture. The quant shops were nice and the people were very helpful in directing when I was lost.Written June 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jenrapAlexandria, VA19 contributionsGreat set up. Plenty of seating. Female at the register in the side shop was not friendly at all and had an attitude for no reason. Other than that it was a great way to spend a day. $50 for a bottle and tiny baguette.Written June 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Led ZPhoenix, AZ35 contributionsIn 1972 Hurricane Agnes flooded the Potomac river. Those of you who visited have seen the flood line on the top of the store. I was there as a teenager and helped saved the General Jubal Early. The last trip from the Virginia side to Maryland side we almost broke the cable as a HUGE tree was caught on that cable. Lucky we were able to back up and ram the tree and it fell off.
Rudy Fogle was sleeping that night in the 3rd floor of the store when he was awoken by a fireman knocking on the window. The river raised so fast!
I have a million stories about Whites Ferry during the hippie days. This place is a treasure - open it back up!Written May 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - TheEdgeNYCQueens, NY199 contributionsOn our visit to Leesburg, we stopped into Morven Park to go for a hike. The grounds have a nice 1.2 mile hiking loop into the woods. It's a little steep at first but it is not too tough a hike.
The only issue was a couple of trees had fallen across the hiking trail and these trees probably should have been sawed apart and removed from the trail (we had to climb over them - there was no way around them).
As luck would have it many of the buildings, including the mansion were open and we got the chance to look in the mansion and one of the farmhand houses.
Overall a nice experience and a place to take advantage of on a nice day.Written April 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Dennis S1 contributionHighly recommend a docent-led tour of this historic mansion. Our docent, Eve, brought the house to life, with historical perspectives and fascinating insights into Gen. Marshall's personal and professional lives. We were greatly enlightened by the tour and inspired to look further into the life of this giant of US history. We encourage you to take this in when you are in the Leesburg area.Written June 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Chris Y81 contributionsSo I have been going to Cox Farms - mainly for the flowers/trees/corn/to say hi to the animals - since I got back home almost 21 years ago.
Time flies and things change - though this Farm is pretty steady.
I like that they are local - and there's a good vibe here.Written April 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - CEBE88Illinois167 contributionsThis is a great option to get a hike in while not having to wander too far from DC. It does get really crowded during nice days (specifically spring, summer, and probably fall as well). The River Trail hike is a nice option that takes you up and down a pretty defined trail. The trail ends with a paved road leading down to the water if you make it down that far. There are some rock outcroppings at which you can sit, have a snack, and then continue on. From the paved road at the end of the hike you can take hike over to the fork that brings you back to the visitor center, which is much easier than coming back on the River Trail. One suggestion to consider is to use/buy the National Park pass if you will be visiting this park 4 or more times. Nat'l Park pass is $80 and each visit to Great Falls is $20/car, so worth it to consider the Nat'l Park pass.Written June 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Trekker2020Washington DC, DC1,943 contributionsThe mall is perfect for our current times. Open spaces, fresh air and lots of great stores to choose from. A notable store is the Williams Sonoma outlet, friendly service and good selection of merchandise.Written February 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jeannette SHalifax, Canada67 contributionsPark Interpreter at the Visitor Centre desk was very knowledgeable and helpful with advice on how we could best experience the park. We did a walking tour on our own at our own pace and it was very very interesting and educational. We especially enjoyed the short 6 minute talk in the museum about the battle. We learned so much more even more than we learned from history books just by seeing the actual battlefield, well worth the visit!!Written June 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kduda118Ridgefield Park, NJ39 contributionsThe staff was extreamly friendly and welcoming. We had Poler Express Wine Pairings. The little bites were delicious and really changed the flavor of the wine. Overall, the wine was alright and a bit on the sweet side. However, the little bites made the whole trip worth it. It made me think of some new pairings to bring back for Christmas. Although we didnt try, they are now offering a chocolate and wine pairing. My favorite wine was the raspberry merlot and dark chocolate pairing which was our 4th pairing in our Poler Express tasting box. Overall, the trip is worth the whole experience.Written December 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- FantajanPretoria, South Africa244 contributionsWe visited Vanish on a Saturday early evening in July on our way back from Dulles Airport. We went on a whim and on the basis of the good reviews. It is quite the venue! There is lots of parking and several bars serving the brewery's wide range of beers. They have over 20 on tap that run the gamut from Saisons to Stouts, from IPAs to Sours. Can't decide? Get a flight and then take it to one of the outside tables. On Saturday afternoon they had two "stationary" food trucks - oysters and Asian "street" food. Neither are vegetarian friendly but Vanish also sells pizza, burgers, and bar snacks. They also had popcorn and ice cream on sale so the place is very kid friendly. Kids have plenty of room to run around while their parents enjoy the beer and live music. I have to say I wasn't blown away by any of the beers but there were a few decent ones in my flight. The bottom line is that Vanish makes for a nice outing.Written August 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- dawitangoAddis Ababa, Ethiopia14 contributionsThe kids have enjoyed it. Excellent place to spend during summer. We weren't able to buy our tickets online. But then we wrote them email as the telephone number provided wasn't helping us either, they responded timely for our emails & told us we can come & buy tickets physically. Very helpful and understanding employees. Kids of different ages can enjoy, the lifeguards are so alert as well. & the water is clean and well taken care of.Written July 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
