What travelers are saying
- G.B.871 contributionsAn immersion in nature for young and old. At the entrance from Pescasseroli you will see a small museum and some animals (including some European bears, not Marsican, that have been taken by a circus).
You should definitely book for at least 2/3 days, in order to have enough time (and in any case it will not be enough for you).Written December 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - G.B.871 contributionsWhat may seem like an anonymous church, actually hides within itself many different styles, each of which has been applied after a new reconstruction. Its birth is attested in the Middle Ages, but an earthquake razed it to the ground and was then rebuilt according to the Gothic style. A new earthquake collapsed the facade which was rebuilt in late Renaissance style. The interior underwent work in baroque style. In short, a unique place that encompasses many different styles and cultures. Absolutely to visit.Written December 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- traveltheworldNew York191 contributionsWhat a great hike to the ruins. Once you get there "wow" what awesome views of Pescasseroli below & mountains on each side. Beautiful photos can be taken. We hiked up twice, the second time we had a chaperone - the Abruzzo dog.Written October 26, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas S8 contributionsOctober is a great time to visit Pescassaroli, see the lovely church of the Madonna del Carmelo ( if its open ) and to dine at one of the lovely local restaurants. The town is the charming heart of the National Park of the Abruzzo. Its also a place to go skiing not far from Rome ( but a little bit later in the year). We had lunch outdoors the last time we visited at a street side cafe. There is one thing I have to warn you about. The Marsican sheep dogs. They wonder at will through the town and will absolutely steel your hear awayWritten December 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LisboaRitaBLisboa12 contributionsIt only opens at 10:00, wich is too late to start a walk. I think they should be more adapted to the ativity of the area. Nobody starts a real hicking tripo at 10:00.Written August 24, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
