What travelers are saying
- JessToronto, Canada16 contributionsSmaller campground then I'm used to. Not as much privacy at the campsites. Beach is okay..nothing like Sandbanks but still alright. There's a nice trail by the waterfront and I enjoyed the Marsh Trail. Saw some muskrats.
I would go back but would try to find a more private site..I felt very out in the open. I believe I stayed in the Cedars area.Written January 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our favourite is the Gold rush which ripens late in the season. Their raspberries are available in early summer and then again in the fall until the first frost. Lots of great activities for kids including the corn mazes. It is a gem just West of Brighton.Written October 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Carol JBrighton, Canada184 contributionsYes this place is permanently closed and all the trains have been sold. I've been by this place multiple times and never went in as I never ever saw anyone until recently when I gentleman happened to be in there by the yellow caboose . His name is John Weir and he bought this piece to add to his collection. He's from Smith Falls and he told me about a train museum there and you can even spend a night on a train. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Weir invite me to come aboard and show me inside the compartment and tell me all about it as he use to drive trains for a living and was very knowledgeable. I asked him what was going to happen to the old station which is an amazing piece of history. He wasn't sure? I would love to see it restored and perhaps turned into a diner, gift shop etc.. I sure hope it's not torn down. Thank You John Weir for an amazing experience and for restoring History!!Written November 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wigsyHamilton, Canada574 contributionsWe looked around the museum and the beautiful grounds from the outside because the house wasn’t open the day we were there. Great place to stop and learn some early history of the Brighton area.Written May 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - YHZGlobetrotterWaverley, Canada816 contributionsIf you love vintage ... you'll love this little gem! I was totally impressed with all the antiques and the repurposed industrial equipment made into beautiful tables, sideboards. Etc. It was a walk down Memory Lane (for my 60-something self) to see the various household items from my childhood and especially the candy (Popeye candy cigarettes and Thrills gum). Do yourself a favour and drop in to have a look. You'll be glad you did.Written July 27, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pat L15 contributionsCOVID PROCEDURES CONCERN - Timber Ridge Golf Course
They are forcing players to share a cart, I tried to take an individual cart, but was refused and told I had to ride with another player who was not in my social safety bubble. I tried to pay and buy a whole cart (Pay for two people), but was refused and told if I don't want to share don't play.
THEY are not putting customer safety first.
I recommend avoiding until after the covid crisis.Written September 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maureen V1 contributionThis store is not there anymore, unfortunately , used to love shopping there, have purchased many things , it is now a dental office which has taken over this unique Stedmans location, which I'm sure is completely renovated, it's unfortunateWritten October 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
