Two people who rendered our trip special: Joy was very professional and quick to share the best options with regards to organising our trip. She always answered our numerous questions patiently and in a timely manner. Benson Kiok, our tour guide, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Masai Mara. He made sure that we were always comfortable, and that we were satisfied with our game drive experience, and our transfer to and from Nairobi. The local guide can explain a lot about the plants and their medial use by local tribes in this forest. There is still some potential to guide people with special interest in the animals living in this forest. We saw some Monkeys (Colobos, Sykes' monkey) and Guinea fowls there. It was worthy the drive . - Cat LLondon, UK13 contributionsHad a fantastic time with my driver. As he will tell you, your happiness is his number one priority. He is professional, caring and a good driver. Very patient and understanding. He worked hard to ensure I was happy every day and his great sense of humour meant we also had lots of fun.
He was able to share lots of information about the animals and knew exactly when each of them would be arriving at the waterholes so we saw lots of different animals!
At the end of my trip, I asked him for his phone number so I can recommend my friends to use him should they ever come to Kenya. We had transfers from Mombasa airport to Diani, and Diani to Kalifi, both perfect and fairly priced. He went out of his way to make sure we had sight of all of the animals we expected to see with detailed I information on each. Our Driver Nguta was there waiting for us at 5, friendly and knowledgable but also realised that it was early and we maybe didn’t want to chat so much!
We did a 1 day safari so although a long day, we really enjoyed the drives and spotting all the animals! Managed to see herds of elephant, giraffes, zebra, giselle, baboons, warthog, buffalo, antelope amongst others. Nguta had supersonic vision in spotting animals in the distance. He tried to track a lion for us to no avail but we still loved it! Lunch was at a buffet at a hotel with great views. - Mikko M1 contributionDidn’t quite know what to expect, and the trip exceeded all the imagination you could think this kind of a trip would offer.
Three very different nights in different lodges, all of them simply superb. Three different national parks, all had their advantages. We saw lion and cheetah cubs, rhino, and lots and lots of elephants and giraffes.
