- GBStockholm, Sweden3 contributionsAt the end of last year, I did my certification refresh/reactivation and two diving trips with Diving the Crab. The personnel was friendly and very competent. They provide guidance and all the necessary gears.
Our dive master/leader, Eric, was super patient and we got to see some amazing fish and beautiful reef.

Signed up for a mornings dive with this company via Osman, who heads up the dive school at Papillon Lagoon Reef. We only intended doing a couple of dives but had such a great experience that we did 8 each, including doing the wreck twice. Great crew, very safety conscious, no rushing, good kit (we hired full sets), pick ups organised from nearby hotels, lovely wildlife including lots of turtles. - AR-WestonPretoria, South Africa14 contributionsAbout one week ago my friend and I had the tremendous pleasure of going on a one day Pilli Pipa and Wasini Island tour with Wild Kenya Safaris. This tour visits the famous Kisite Marine Park and involves snorkeling at two sites within the marine park. This is followed up by a delicious seafood lunch on the picturesque Wasini Island. One traverses to the marine park and to lunch in an expertly manned dhow. The crew were great and extremely helpful both on the boat and in the water. Arrangements for our tour were seamless and for this we are most grateful to Shazaad. Our driver Pascal provided great service, knowledge and enthusiasm true out the trip. He had the cooler box filled with water every day, he stood up earlier so we could see the animals before the safari-rush started. All my diving plans were agreed online, I received link to all necesary forms and papers. I was diving three days with very profesional divemaster Isaac and boat crew. They were very good and helpfull, chosen dive sides were interesting and beautifull with full of ocean life. I would highly recommend this dive shop and staff.

Monika was very kind with the arrangements, the car was good and our guide (Moses) was incredible all the way! Our lodges (Satao camp, Ol tukai and Severin Camp) were AMAZING! We were very surprised with the experience. Saw a lot of animals (no rhino sadly) and our guide was always in a great mood, stopped everytime we wanted and explained a lot about the animals. They offer you a day full of discovery with: snorkeling, dolphins, a visit to wasini island with its village and mangrove, a typical swaili breakfast and lunch and a visit to the slave cave. We had a very good day

I was unable to dive but they still went out of their way to offer courses I could do which I really appreciated.
From learning about coral reef conservation, to building a coral nursery tree and then learning how to restore degraded reefs. Was super excited to learn that a bleached coral is still alive and has a chance to become healthy again, this gives much hope for the little actions we take to support these ancient ocean ecosystems. This was amazing trip, full of fun and adventure, Randu made sure we felt comfortable, safety and having a great time. He is very open, caring and warm person with lot of humor, ready to answer for all question and share about wild animals, African culture and traditions. For him there is always Hakuna Matata.

After instructions about their research and how to approach the animals we went to the boats.
After the spotter airplane went into the air we also start crossing the ocean. After a small amount of time Volker got a message from the airplane that there was spotted a big group of dolphins. We found the dolphins and had an amazing dolphin encounter for more than an hour. The dolphins keeped coming back to us showing off their jumps into the air. This was a great start of the morning and we went back on the boat. While the crew provided us with water and delicious fruit Volker tried everything to find the whale sharks. Unfortunately we didn't find the whale sharks. Of course we were a little sad but this is nature. You can't predict whether you will see the animals or not.
As a gesture for not seeing the whale sharks the crew offered us to get into the spotter airplane and have a short flight over the ocean and de shores. What an amazing experience was that! A lovely end to a lovely morning.
The next day we received a message from Volker although he hadn't had a trip planned that morning he was sending out the spotter airplane to seek for the whale sharks. When they would spot some whale sharks he would try to go there with is boat. He was keeping us posted so that when they did found something we could join on the boat. My first day I was one on one with just the Dive Master (DM), so we did two 65 minute dives. The second day an older man was joining us and I was worried that his air consumption would shorten our dives, so the DM gave him a HUGE tank, so we were able to continue with the long dives!
Saw tons of cool things on the dives, the DM (Silos) really knows the area very well, knew where to find the big schools of fish, where the swim throughs were, where the HUGE sea turtles live, found me the octopi I wanted to see, etc. On the first day we also had about 15 dolphins come hang out with us while we were doing our safety stop, that was a first! I've never seen dolphins under water while diving!
The equipment was good (most comfortable flippers ever!) and the boat was fine. Would highly recommend! And the location was great!!
