- Katherine KLittle Egg Harbor, NJ265 contributionsMy favorite northern CA experience was going through the Avenue of the Giants. Peaceful and majestic, the pictures don’t do it justice.Written June 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alyssa BSterling Heights, Michigan, United States8 contributionsLoved this area, you can see seals, whale watch. Very peaceful and plenty of trails to explore. I would highly recommend!Written April 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Merritt OTexas167 contributionsYou could spend as short or long a time as you want meandering around the multiple connecting trails here. Gorgeous big trees and lots of stumps to climb and fallen trees to balance on to bring a little fun with kids. Dog friendly!Written March 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SwissMissSpokaneWASpokane WA107 contributionsThis is a magical place for a short walk up the canyon. You MUST HAVE a permit (I think it's a new requirement.) Got ours online. We went in early June, and our feet definitely got wet. We just brought an extra pair of shoes. Some people were walking in water sandals, but it's rocky and might be difficult in sandals. You've never seen such amazing green! Very beautiful! The walk in and out takes less than an hour, but there is a longer loop trail if you're feeling ambitious and your feet aren't too cold.Written June 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BDubu2 contributionsAlways the best way to start the weekend in Arcata. The amazing produce, music, and wonderful local farmers at the Market always puts a smile on my face.Written September 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WisTrippersWisconsin353 contributionsGiant trees, Roosevelt Elk, and great hiking trails, what more do you need? Love this park for hiking and scenic drives. The trails that start at the visitor's center are a great place to start.Written April 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Merritt OTexas167 contributionsTook an hour ish to go around one loop of trails. Old rail tracks, ducks, a snake, and info placards gave us things to view as we walked. Cool conservation story behind the marsh and easy to access for a little nature in townWritten March 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- njgrampsNJ310 contributionsAbsolutely stunning Victorian mansion right near the beach. The cupola can be seen from many vantage points in town and this is quite a handsome landmark.Written June 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ArtemisiaCalifornia1 contributionThe owners of this inn are a lovely couple who are very hospitable, attentive, homey and professional. My grandmother and I shared a room in the Viola room which is stunning and has lots of natural lighting. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the sheets felt great! We loved having the electric fire place too! We had a meal in the restaurant below and the food was delicious. The wine by the glass menu could be improved. Other than that I would come back here.Written May 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LST2323Potsdam, NY176 contributionsHad some time to kill before catching my flight and stopped at the zoo and park. It was a nice walk and a great place to stretch my legs. Park is very pretty and worth a visit. Wasn't crowded, cool walking amongst the trees. Lots of noise from the street and the street wasn't a great place to leave your car (signs about not leaving valuables, a couple of vehicles with a bunch of folks sitting on the sidewalk smoking pot - totally legal but they were blocking the path and weren't friendly).Written September 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lkis229Southington, CT523 contributionsThis is a wonderful hike that is family friendly for all. The trail is well marked, well maintained but muddy, which surprised me. You can hike a mile to the waterfall and then head back the same way or continue and do the entire trail which ends up around 2+ miles.Written June 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GitchSupDuluth, MN1,247 contributionsWe took a detour on our road trip through the Avenue of Giants that runs through the Humbolt Redwood State Park. This was one of the most beautiful highlights of our vacation. We stopped at a couple of places, one that was just a pull off from the road, the other had a nice walking trail that led down to the Eel River. The color of the water in the river is the most beautiful turquoise color and there were wildflowers in bloom everywhere. Just walking around the trees that are so huge makes you feel so small, it left us in awe. I would stop here again if we make it back for a West Coast road trip a second time.Written June 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Grover RPensacola, FL15,275 contributionsThis is the first place headed north on the 101 where you know you are in an amazing forest. The grove is fairly small but it will make a big impression on you when you see these trees. They are massive and they come right up next to the road. I wish we could of stop but we were trying to get to Redwood National Park.Written March 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- stevieyt20 contributionsCute little zoo, we stopped because of the sky walk which was beautiful. Not a ton of animals like a major zoo but we were happy to see they seemed well cared for and healthy. Food was way too expensive.Written March 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
