When in North Vietnam, visiting a farmers markets is a must. It is a great way to experience the daily lives of the local hill tribes. The sounds, the smell, the colors, the faces… this sticks to your memory. I visited the market in Can Cao (!). You can read all about my experience including many photos in my article: flitterfever .com/vietnam-can-cao-market-sapa

Located 22 highway miles (35 km) northwest of Bac Ha the market in Sin Cheng is held every Wednesday morning. Similar to the market in Coc Ly, it is small but very lively. Like all of the markets in Bac Ha, the local Flower Hmong women and girls dress in their best costumes. There is a good-sized area where water buffalo are bought and sold in addition to the usual chickens, ducks, and pigs. The 60-minute drive from Bac Ha town offers spectacular views of the district’s highest peaks. There is no public transportation to Sin Cheng; the closest place to find a bus is 5 miles (8 km) away in Si Ma Cai. Most tourists visit the market as part of an organized tour. Transportation options are limited to hiring a car, renting a motorbike or by motorcycle taxi (xe ôm in Vietnamese) from Bac Ha town.

It makes me feel peaceful. The cold air, lightly blown wind, tree shadow and good view to China-Vietnam border gate.

    Worth to visit.

We organized 3D2N trip, trekking up from Lao Cai and down via Lai Chau province, so we enjoyed scenery from both sides. Lai Cai side, you will see a lot of mountains, on Lai Chau side, you will go through beautiful forests.

    Tips:
    - warm clothes, it’s quite cold at night.
    - trekking poles, which help with climbing up and down.
    - see sunset, sunrise, star from Muoi Hill, just a short distance from the campsite.
    - sea of clouds is one of the best in Vietnam.

    Enjoy!

I was lucky to visit this temple during a local temple festival and the area was full of worshippers. There were many vendors outside on the roads selling colourful flowers, incense and various offerings for the faithful to purchase to leave at the temple. It was an amazing sight and well worth the visit to this most ancient temple.

One of the best we’ve ever had! It was a misty day so not a day for hiking. So why not go to the Charm Destination.

Long is a very friendly and helpful person, very responsive whenever I had a question, and everything went very smooth with my motorbike rental. Everything is very honest and trustworthy, the price is fair and you won't have to worry about any hidden costs/surprises. Thanks for everything.

I very recommend it. We rent motorbikes for 3 days to go to Sapa, we got some tips where we should go and it was awesome. We got a number and stayed in touch if something happened and it was exactly how he promised. Bikes were very good and they were friendly.
