It's Free, it's a small museum but worth the visit. The trains are pretty cool and I'm sure the kids would enjoy it. Very friendly staff. It's a must visit.

This is a small museum dedicated to preserving the history of small Tobacco farmers. The curator is a very kind gentleman, and eager to share the knowledge and history of both the crop and how it helped the lives of those it touched. As a northerner, I do not usually think of Tobacco as a positive thing, this museum helped me see it in light of the bigger picture of economics and families it impacted.

Our visit was last year but the menu wouldn't go back more than 12 months.

Some very old and beautiful dolls on display.

Joyce and Kim F. make this compact museum worth seeing. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and very gracious. They know the history of this area and we followed their excellent suggestions for touring and dining. The exhibits are interesting and we enjoyed the trains.

Place was closed on the day we went but luckily one of the Rangers was nice and opened the door for us. She gave us brief highlights of the place.

During COVID-19 we were looking for places to go outdoors that would give us a break from the house. This garden has many paths that lead to all sorts of interesting discoveries. Even in winter there is something to see and it is a nice place to stretch your legs. Statues, benches, water features and so many gorgeous plants! They are working on a children’s garden and a butterfly exhibit. The bathroom is in the gift shop and is often closed so remember that before you visit with kids. Lovely picnic spot too!
