What travelers are saying
- Genevieve L65 contributionsWorth the price of admission demonstration. The artist made 3 items: a plate, a sculpture and a balloon. The benches were comfy and I appreciated the voice over about the history of the location.Written January 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - phat_dawg_21Alpharetta, GA16,976 contributionsUnfortunately, it started raining when we arrived, and continued throughout our visit. But we were still able to get a sense of the beauty of the place. Too bad the bright colors do not come out in the photographs.
It was much less crowded than Venice. We can’t wait to visit again.Written July 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Francois TJohannesburg, South Africa1,623 contributionsWe received a complementary transfer and visit to Murano from our hotel and were very happy we had the opportunity to see this shop and factory. At first we were a bit disappointed as the workshop was not busy but our host explained that it was holiday time and we still got to see some of the action. Whilst we were not in the market to buy anything and only purchased something small in the gift shop, we have some regret we did not purchase something else. They have beautiful items and all are works of art in their own right. Not cheap, but you will have something unique made with lots of love and care. Would definitely recommend a visit.Written September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Art PiersonElbert, CO109 contributionsThis Glass furnace (Foundry) allowed us to see the process and gave us a beautiful tour. Then you're allowed to see some of the other pieces and jewelry of course!Written October 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IA_HawksIowa2,278 contributionsThis facility was part of our Venice Tour and we very much enjoyed the brief 10-15 minute demonstration and explanation of the glass blowing process. It is very impressive how the artists can create a delicate piece in such a short amount of time.
After the demonstration, you are routed to one of their showrooms for another demonstration of the finished products and given the chance to purchase some specialty items at a discounted price.
While the items that are given the specialty discount are indeed amazing pieces, once you agree to purchase something, the shipping cost to the US and the delay in getting them isn't worth it. You can find many of the non chandelier type items throughout Venice.Written April 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Mainly focuses on showcasing the result of different techniques and art styles at different points in history, as techniques were developed and styles came in and out of fashion. The audio guide is very detailed, but a lot of the information is provided around the rooms anyway. Sadly some sections were closed when I was there.
However, if you are more interested in watching glass-making and seeing the best of what Murano currently has to offer, I'd recommend visiting workshops and galleries around the island.Written May 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The glass chandeliers inside the church are beautiful and a bit unusual. But it is not so surprising, because the church is located on an island full of glass factories. You can see here paintings by Paolo Veronese or Giovanni Bellini, among others.Written August 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Indeed, it resembles the Palazzo Vecchio tower in Florence. However, they were
