We stayed at the Kokobella lodge on the 7th fairway. The accommodation was great and the house was perfect. The general feel of the resort though is a feeling of disrepair!

The golf course was to say the least a massive disappointment, it is not maintained and will never see even a district tournament again. Even the locals staying in Phalaborwa would rate her go to Neighboring towns to play municipal courses. This is the worst course I have played in the last 10 years and I come from drought stricken Cape Town!

Just came back from SA, visiting friends, Kruger National Park and playing golf.
This course has so much going for it but unfortunately it needs a lot of TLC. Its still playable and not too expensive for us Brits at the moment.

Some of the greens have no grass in places only sandy patches but there seems to be money being spent on new concrete paths but even they haven't been completed.
There seems to be a strangely positioned pile of stones across the fairway of the 7th. I can see there is a case for drainage but there must be a better solution. The fairways are very bumpy when in the cart and have no grass at all in places. The concrete water features have no water in them. The course is in a obvious drought area but but this is known and this course was one of the best in SA.

The Drive into the estate even needs some serious investment as the road is just a dust track, the dirt roads on the Kruger were in better condition.

I took the trouble of walking around the hotel area only to find lots of unfinished building work and a huge pile of cement bags not far from the entrance. It looks like projects get started but never completed.
I also played at Highland Gate Estate in Dullstroom. Perhaps a visit there is required to see how it should be done. The place was full of golfers from other clubs on golf days out.
Hans Merensky could be that inviting for golfers.

Overall its not very inviting, If I had booked this as a golf break I would have been very disappointed. Luckily I stayed at a friends place and only played golf there.

Me and my wife had our honeymoon trip to SA late last year, and one of the first items on the itinerary was a Safari with Khalanga. We first started our tour by doing a day trip within Blyde River canyon area. Ishmael was our guide, and he was awesome. Fantastic energy, passionate about the area, he had a lot of neat historical information, and was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. That night we went to a stunning lodge outside the park (Ukuthula bush lodge) and had an incredible meal. Early next morning we met our new guide, Shoes. It was incredible getting to know him throughout the trip, as his passion and knowledge of conservation, the park, and the animals was amazing. He took unbelievable care of us, cooking meals, constantly helping with luggage, food, and water. Our trip was 4 nights, but we could have easily stayed another two weeks with him. We were absolutely spoiled and saw the big five, and some more rare sightings. It was an experience we will never forget. My wife and I had a hard time saying bye when our trip ended because we felt we made a lifelong friend. We absolutely recommend Khalanga Safaris to anyone and everyone!

We had a great day with Calvin. Great guide, he makes your day in Kruger National Park a day to remember. Friendly, enthousiast and is flexibel about the route to take.
We saw a large part of the big 5, some within the Hour. It was nice to track the leopard for a while.
Tasty catering. The melktert is so good.

All of the reviews for Kedibone Safaris are true.
Going on safari with Renata is like going on safari with your favourite friend. I guarantee that you will be so well looked after and provided with the best food including some SA specialities. Renata will do everything she possibly can for you to see your favourite animals. If you book a solo safari then that’s what you get, Renata won’t fill up her game viewer with people who you don’t know. On our safari we saw so many animal species including a super rare aardvark. Thank you Renata.

We have done over 50 safaris in Kruger National Park and Craig stands out over everyone else! His effort to find animals is extremely good and also his knowledge. Did I mention his sense of humour? His passion for nature is rare these days with so many guides just behaving as drivers. Craig will make every drive special even when the bush is quiet with animals.

The Olifants River boat safari is well worth the while. Gliding over the water whilst enjoying drinks and watching game such as elephants, hippos, crocodiles and buffalo from the upper deck of the boat is relaxing. The access road is however terrible and the private company doing helicopter flights over the area are a nuisance as they scare off the animals.
