    Amazing Tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum
    We were fortunate enough to have Antonio as our tour guide, and we could not have asked for a better guide for Pompeii and Herculaneum. The Askos staff who greeted us at the gate were also wonderful. Antonio is incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of Pompeii and Herculaneum. He is also funny and patient and is the best kind of your guide you can ask for. I highly recommend doing both as you can then see the differences between the two sites – Herculaneum is also less crowded and has more beautiful mosaics. Antonio taught us so much about how the people lived, their history, and the culture at the time. We walked away amazed and in awe. We can’t recommend this enough!

    Review of: Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius - Private Tour
    Fabulous introduction to Naples and its sites
    We used DiSarno for both airport transfers and for a private tour of Pompeii, Vesuvio and Herculaneum. Before arriving in Naples, I communicated several times with Gabby by telephone and WhatsApp and she was very efficient with sending tour vouchers and confirmations. She and Luca picked us up on time at the airport and gave us a gracious Neapolitan welcome including restaurant recommendations The following day, Luca picked us up and drove us for the entire day, introducing us to our guide Iléanna at Pompeii. He filled in a lot of information en route and suggested a wonderful restaurant after our climb of Vesuvio. Our guide of. Otherwise archeological sites was well informed, thorough and capable. Our trip to the airport was efficient and timely and Gabby came along for the ride even though she didn’t have to. She spoke English fluently and energetically and was a pleasure to spend time with.

    Overall , our experience with this company was excellent and a perfect way to spend a short time in Naples. Highly recommended!!

    Review of: Pompeii and Herculaneum SELECT skip the line
    Great experience and really helpful staff
    We had a great experience on this trip. Our guide, Ralph, was so knowledgeable and had great anecdotes about all the places we were seeing. He was also really kind and helpful to everyone in the group. We were heading out of Sorrento after the tour, so not only did Antonella in the main office kindly assist us with hotel pickup, but they also confirmed we could take our luggage with us. Ralph remembered we were traveling, and when we were leaving Herculaneum he showed us where the train station was and helped us save a ton of time getting to Naples. A great experience and a great company all around. Thank you!

    Fantastic experience enriched by Luciano
    We were shown Herculaneum by Luciano Leone, a enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who had taken the time to prepare a folder of information including lots of images of how the city would have looked in its prime. He really helped bring history back to life for us and it was by far, in our opinion a better experience than Pompeii.

    Wonderful Ercolano
    Fantastic preservation of this resort town! Great tour guide (Luciano). Take a private tour! Your guide will point out things that you would otherwise walk right past or gloss over. Afterward, visit the Archeology Museum in Naples to see more of the frescoes, mosaics and statues from the site (and Pompeii).

    Exceptional experience with Fabrizio!
    We had a fantastic day with Fabrizio. From the time he picked us up to when he dropped us off the day was filled with friendly professionalism, enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge. He is one of the best guides we’ve ever used. We moved around Pompei with ease, hit all the highlights and learned so much. It is obvious he has a passion for the history of Pompei (and Italy) and enjoys sharing it. Our day included an amazing lunch and tasting at the winery. He also shared his many insights and tips on Naples where we were headed the next day. Highly recommend. Thank you Fabrizio!

    Incredible Experience!
    What an incredible day with Antonino! We were picked up at our apartment in Sorrento and that was the moment our great day started! Antonino talked about places we saw along the way, giving us tidbits of information about the Italian history & culture! Whether at Vesuvius, Herculaneum, or Pompeii, his extensive knowledge of history was amazing! I learned SO much from him and am truly happy he was our tour guide! I've already given his name to friends visiting the area because he's the one they want to explore with.
    BUT, that's not all. He also took us to a restaurant for an AMAZING Italian lunch, which we were VERY happy about (especially me b/c I'm Gluten Free). Thank you for this, Antonino!!!
    I will definitely be going back to the area because there's SO MUCH MORE to explore and will once again want Antonino to be our guide. Thank you for an incredible day, we are TRULY grateful for you.

    Paolo knows Pompeii
    What an amazing experience. We so enjoyed our own private tour guide enabling us to ask all sorts of questions about art, architecture, history and culture while moving through the ruins at our own pace. Paolo loves his work and finds humor and significance in each new part of these two amazing places.

    You will get far more out of the trip under the watchful eye of a learned guide. Skip the lines and enjoy your time in this beautiful area.

    Perfect transport, amazing mind blowing sights
    We booked Amalfidriver.com for a trip to Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculaneum and wine tasting.
    The sights are well worth the visit, Vesuvius was breathtaking, Pompeii and Herculaneum were mind blowing, I would recommend everyone to visit these sights, we would love to explore these again!
    All the drivers were super friendly, knowledgeable, kind and polite. We had some great conversations about the area, the history, the sights we were travelling to, about family, food and even some great cooking tips.
    The vehicles were wonderful, comfortable and clean and our belongings were looked after. Plus they brought chilled water for us and sweets.
    We wholeheartedly recommend these guys.
    It was stress free travel! They were great value for money, we booked 2 further trips with them during our stay and we would use them again WHEN we return.

    Review of: Private Pompeii and Herculaneum Day Tour
    Absolutely fantastic
    Our trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum was the high point of our stay in Sorento. Lucia our guide was passionate about the history of the area and shared that passion with us. Both cities are fascinating.
    At the suggestion of Fabio our driver we went to Bosco de Medici for wine tasting and lunch after the tour. I highly recommend making that part of the trip. The wine is exceptional and the food was delicious. Anthony our sommelier was terrific.
    We truly had a great day.

    Day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Amaifi Coast
    Our family just took a wonderful day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Amaifi Coast with Rome in Limo. Our driver Luca picked us up at our hotel and provided us with a wonderful day of sightseeing and interesting facts about the area. He walked us to a very good restaurant on the coast for lunch and showed us areas that were good for sightseeing and shopping. At Pompeii Luca introduced us to our private guide Lucio who was amazing. Lucio was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We have two teens and they really enjoyed the day.

    Drink a lot of water
    It’s hot in the summer but we where lucky enough that it wasn’t crowded. The private tour was worth every penny. He was a on site archeological student with perfect English.

    Review of: Skip the Line Ancient Herculaneum Small Group Walking Tour with Top Rated Guide
    Photographers challenge the ruins
    Our tour was from a cruise ship and was fabulous. Early in the day and without crowds as you would find at Pompeii. It was a resort village, populated with only a few slaves and caretakers when hit by a pyroclastic flow that covered the town to a depth of six meters, preserving it. Wonderful mosaics, frescoes and statues. Photographers will enjoy the subjects of buildings, streets, art, and houses. Do not suggest a tripod, my DSLR with a zoom lens was all I needed. Some rooms are dark, so anticipate using a high ISO. Take shots from the rim above before walking through the tunnel to be in the village. Then you will use the wide-angle a lot.
