The tour was very interesting. It was fun learning small details about the finds of Pompeii. We ranged in ages from 22 to 62. It held everyone's interest.

Excellent and well organised compact tour of Pompei by City Wonders. We also choose the Mount Vesuvius option that includes a meal at the base before climbing to the top of the cone.

Our guide, Rob, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He provided local and general Italian knowledge. He went above and beyond when we got stuck in traffic due to an accident on the road on the way back at keeping us entertained and spirits high.

At Pompei we switched over to a local guide who clearly communicated to us various features of the ruins and how people lived. Unfortunately we only saw one of the plaster casts as the line for the other was too long. The tour does move swiftly along and you have to be very quick if you want to take photos. It's understandable however as you have a lot to fit in in one day.

Highly recommend the tour. If you're staying in Rome it's a great way to break up the holiday and spend a day making memories.

Wonderful guided tour through two important archaeological sites and we were so fortunate to witness the latest excavations at Pompeii. Spectacular frescoes and artifacts being revealed for the first time in centuries. We loved our local guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. Lunch was good too. Transportation was comfortable and the group was only 10 of us so we did not miss any content.

Our guide, Luciano Leone, was outstanding! His passion and knowledge about Herculaneum was infectious. He took his time, explaining in great detail, and answering questions all the while watching for guest comfort and understanding. We highly recommend this tour to anyone young or old!

Our driver John Luca was prompt and easily accessible via WhatsApp. John Luca speaks some English so we were able to converse with minimum difficulties. He was courteous and respectful and went above and beyond as his service was excellent. By the end of day, he’s become one of our family friends and someone who we will reach out to should we visit again.

We took a day trip out of Naples to tour Herculaneum, Mt. Vesuvius, and Pompeii. We rented audio tours at Herculaneum and they were not great. It was hard to find our way around because the place is NOT in numerical order and you can hardly hear the audio. We felt like we wasted our time. We reported this to Dolly, our guide, and Daniela, our driver. They found a personal guide for the 8 of us prior to our visit of Pompeii. So much better!!! Our guide, Rosella, was fabulous!!! In between those tours, we hiked beautiful Mt. Vesuvius, luckily between cloudbursts. It was an amazing view of Naples and the crater! Dolly, Daniela, and Rosella made our day. I’d recommend them to my family and friends. Wish we had met Rosella for our Herculaneum tour, too.

We had an amazing tour of the Amalfi Coast. Very comfortable deluxe Mercedes (max 8 ppl), went through Rivello, Sorrento, Almafi & Positano, making stops with sufficient time to tour on our own. A big "thank you" to our driver David, who has a great sense of humor, made recommendations on the stops and explained the history. Highly recommend through  Trip advisor; Almafi Coast guided tour from Naples, (local provider) city & tour soc coop arl

Driver was excellent , Tony was a wealth of knowledge about the area of Sorrento and all the cities around Pompeii and Herculaneum. We had two very excellent guides for Herculaneum and Pompeii, one was an archeologist. Just excellent day!

Luciano Leone was our guide and was excellent. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaging throughout the tour. As an archaeologist, Luciano gave us detailed insights into the site, the work done and how people lived there. I would thoroughly recommend a tour with him. The sire is worth visiting, but a knowledgeable guide such as Luciano makes it excellent.

We would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge our archaeologist guide Diego for his knowledge, humour and care today – in which he managed to successfully educate, entertain and navigate the 23 odd people in our tour to most highlights. He was a great ambassador for Askos Tours. Diego was miked up and we all had ear pieces, so you missed nothing. Highly recommend this format, you simply am not going to get the same level of insight and interaction through self guidance – well it suited us and our timeframe. Also recommend the chance to see both Pompeii and Herculaneum, both are fascinating and different to experience! And thank you Diego for a great day!

Over all it was an excellent tour. High speed train is the way to go! The driver was outstanding and the guide was excellent and certainly knew Pompeii and Herculaneum very well. I had been to Pompeii before, so the inclusion of Herculaneum was a real draw. While it had some fascinating houses, if we had it to do over again, we would opt for a longer, in-depth visit to Pompeii. The audio headsets were a problem. With the pace of the tour and crowds of other visitors, we (and other members of our tour) had audio drop out and static too frequently. The earpiece is great to let you hear clearly, but when it ceases to work, it is a problem. The tour would be 5 out of 5 except for the audio issue.

Our guide (I think called Antonio?) was very fun and nice.
Great sense of humour. Very knowledgeable. Both areas very indepth guide with enough time spent there. Lunch was nice too.

Before booking this tour, I researched so many different options and ways to see Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii, before landing on this tour. Sarah was an incredible guide, with such lovely warmth and energy, she made the trip really enjoyable. First stop was the volcano, followed by a small limoncello stand where we sampled some delicious local liqueurs, followed by lunch and then Pompeii.
Pompeii is massive and we covered a lot with our lovely guide, Anna. I felt I saw everything I needed to but also learnt so much from Anna who was a very knowledgeable expert to have leading us around the site.
You may think you can do both of these things by yourself, but I think it’s worth it to pay the bit extra to have it mapped out for you and make it stress free. Plus it’s a great way to meet people on the tour.
Couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you Sara and Anna for such a great experience.

The coach ride up was an experience in itself as the road is so narrow and coaches go up and down constantly. Our driver was great giving us info and facts as we drove up. We were then told our meet time for the return journey and set off up the volcano. One thing you cannot do is underestimate how difficult the climb is. It’s gradual with some steep parts but it’s on loose gravel and stones. So slip a lot. Coming down is almost as hard because of this.

However. The view at the top is worth it. To see inside the crater and watch the smoke rising, and then turning around to see whole of the bays below you (Naples etc) and if walk around far enough even to see Pompei is breathtaking.

We had a coffee (yes there is a cafe/shop) at the top which is manned by some lovely staff. Prices were actually reasonable for its location :)

We returned to our driver for return leg and once safely back at base we asked for recommendations for some food and said thank you and good bye.

    Definitely would recommend
