Great place to visit if just to have a coffee or hold meetings , but there is more walk around the trails and explore the history and make your own .
And the Coffee Matters café is a pleasant place to have anything from a snack to a meal: delightful staff and delicious food!

There is a hike to the top of Topsail Bluff which can be accessed from east of the parking lot, as well as a playground and picnic tables, and fireplaces for fires in the evenings.
There is a fresh water pond which people enjoy for swimming.

We greatly enjoyed the walking trails - if you walk them all, it will take a couple of hours, and will take in various ecosystems such as bog, marsh, and different types of forest.
In addition to a fine collection of plants, there is a lovely walk through woods and a nice little cafe.

The ECT (East Coast Trail) to me is the high point of this fine place we live and is a perfect reflection of Newfoundland; It is rugged and scenic beyond, it is as challenging as you want it to be.
Drawn here by the ECT for vacation far we have only done a little bit of the Sugarloaf section and a 24km roundtrip from Bay Bulls to the Spout which was a fantastic but just as tough as described in the guide.
