Though I can’t credit him with the fantastic weather we were lucky to get, I can credit him for making each minute of the trek entertaining with stories and history as well as delicious Norwegian snacks.
I highly recommend doing both hikes: Pulpit Rock and Kjerag (which is definitely more tiring and demanding, but totally worth it!!!)

The winter scene with lower sun angle and ice is gorgeous and in the summer it is a great place to picnic and swim.
Here you will find av small beach, a very nice path along the fjord, the monument «three swords», as we call it, in memory of the battle when Norway was gathered as one kingdom.

The mountain also offered amazing views and everything else that makes her so special (drinking her fresh water directly from the creek is just one of the bonuses).
A challenging hike but easily doable if you hike in the right weather condition with proper gear.

Step back in time to see the Viking long houses and the traditional methods of that time period.
There were also fires lit in the center of the long house, for warm and cooking.

To stand on top of the "Kjerag Bolt" is a must, a little scary with a 1000 meters freefall to the fjord.
There is a way you can tie into the side of the mountain for more protection from falling but my husband and I didn't think it was all that scary!
