Mahasthangarh was the capital of Pundrobordhon and one of the oldest civilization and the most important archaeological attractions in Bangladesh.
There is a Museum too where ancient collection of different mud made things like statue and so on are stored.

I was quite intrigued to see the small museum upstairs , specially the Khutba from the Holy Quran handwritten by the last Moghul Emperor Aurongazeb .
The palace was built by Maharaja Gopal Lal Roy between 1908 and 1917.

It has a round clock (imported from Italy) on its front gate with a large bell and a clock room and also has a beautiful garden full of various foreign trees and Italian marble stone statues of women.
