By now I cannot count anymore how many times I visited Zahran in his Heritage Center. It's a must-visit in Ramallah. A place of history, art, handicraft, good Arabic coffee, and first and foremost: great conversations with Zahran!
Zahran knows a lot about Ramallah, he gives insights into different layers of Palestinian struggles and is open to any questions.
Just visit Zahran in his Heritage Center and you'll see how time flies when having good chats over tea and coffee!

Great museum and a must visit for anyone visiting Israel and Palestine. A lot of interesting information including a good history of UN involvement in Palestine.

A lovely quaint and peaceful museum for the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. The museum is surrounded by a beautiful garden and a nice view over Ramallah city. A nice and easy visit to do on a lovely cool evening (abt 20-25 minutes walk from Ramallah municipality)

Intimate Terrains is a masterfully curated exhibition of powerful, professionally executed, and exceptionally expressive work that reveals more of the Palestinian story and culture than any newspaper story or textbook will ever convey. The trauma, indignation, pride, and fury of an occupied, oppressed, and abused population is palpable. In the light-filled, intimate galleries, it was personal and powerful. I hope it is possible for the Museum to tour the show; it needs to be experienced by a wide audience. Most of the western world only hears one side of the story.

The Museum itself is impressive - a contemporary LEED building that integrates seamlessly with the terraced hillsides of of the area. We arrived late in the day and unfortunately just barely had time to view the exhibition and left without touring the entire building and surrounding gardens. I will make a point of returning and spending time exploring the grounds, other programs, and the adjacent university.

A beautiful space, filled with a huge selection of artworks from a variety of different artists, and a great place to experience Palestinian art.
