- WitoldzioManhattan, KS608 contributionsAn excellent museum which, luckily, can be visited without a guided tour. The furniture and artwork is original and in its original location. The place has a clearly Anglo-Saxon feeling to it - in contrast to the more Polish residencies such as Nieborow, Kozlowka, or Lancut. The park is large and very pleasant. The neighboring town square is really beautiful too. The only problem is parking - the only available parking is at the Zubrowisko - where they show Polish bison. It's an easy walk to the castle from there. Within the Castle Park, among the river pools and abundant old tree stands there are numerous historic buildings and landscaping elements. Among others you can see Ludwikówka mansion, tea pavilion on the island, Chinese gate, ice cellar, shrines and arch bridges. Park has very big potential. - m50lwsStaffordshire186 contributionsYes you will see some reviews stating there aren't many bison here and that is true, but make sure to be there at feeding time (varies by season) to get a good close up view of these wonderful animals. There are other animal attractions as well and you can be lucky enough to see these being fed as well. We saw the male donkey who knew it was time he would get a treat and his reaction was great (and noisy). - Ewa SBaltinglass, Ireland996 contributionsI think that if you are visiting Pszczyna, you should see the castle, the bison sanctuary and this open museum, to have a proper understanding of the region. Zagroda is a very peaceful place, where you can see how average people lived long time ago. The owner is really friendly and knows a lot about the artists of the items and where it actually came from. Very glad that we went to the shop coz I learned more of the vases that my mother in law passed on to us. Her descendants came way back from Czech Rep and opened my eyes about the vases made by Miloslav Klinger.
