Our favourite deer was called Gem - pretty well suited for this amazing sanctuary which definitely was a hidden gem!
... but had been wet and we were kindly offered wellies, we read before we went that the deer liked digestive biscuits and we were very glad we took some as hand feeding the beautiful animals was a great privilege.
