- Mahesh ACebu City, Philippines210 contributionsThis is an Island where no motorised vehicles are allowed. So no noisy motorbikes or cars .. no industrial factories .. ergo no pollution. If one wishes to explore there's plain pedal cycles , quaint but brisk horse carriages and of course one's own two legs to walk around on . Lol .. it's a paradise for fruits seafood and good fresh food .
This island runs on it's own laid back laws and maintains itself admirably as far as law and order goes .
Like Bali there's no choking restrictions as usually exist in some societies and so tourists are freely able to enjoy themselves as they would anywhere in the world. Of course there's reasonable bounds of behaviour expected from visitors .
So many pros and such few cons.
The only 2 things I'd say they could improve is
1. Another couple of jetties for incoming tourist boats to tie up on . Currently their jetty is always overcrowded and that creates daily boat delays upto 30 minutes to an hour sometimes.
2. Streetlights from 2 kms outside the Trawangan market are not always functioning correctly and the pitch darkness is a bit dangerous for senior citizens walking to places for dinner and back .

- Dimitris S.10 contributionsMore like 3.5 stars. First, the price. Never book there physically, the price is notably higher, just book online. Also, there's no seat assigning, so make sure to be there early to grab a good one. We took the boat from Serangan to Gili Trawangan, and back. On the way to Gili T, the boat had to make a stop to Padang Bai, which is where, for me, they dropped to 3.5 stars. We circled around the port for 1 hour +, and I was also sick, making it an awful long wait. It was so garbage I said I'd rather use a different carrier for the way back and lose my ticket money. However, I'm not sure it's the company's fault, since other boats waited there too. The issue appears to be a single dock for fast boats in Padang Bai, where everyone has to await their turn, and mannn is that slow. Also, something annoying about the boat is the movies playing on TV. Sure, it's better than nothing, but they only showed two movies on repeat, Gulliver's Travels and the one with Mr. Bean on vacation. So we had to watch both twice on the way there, and once on the way back. Even worse, the speakers didn't really do anything despite making an awful lot of static and being annoying. Oh, and the TV quality got progressively worse, so we ended up seeing only static for the last hour. The way back was much better, no intermediate stops and overall a much better experience. Maybe I just got unlucky. Anyways, I don't necessarily recommend them over other carriers like Bluebird, but if you have no other choice or want to travel cheap I guess they're ok.

The venue was clean and a great location being open onto the Main Street. The food was delicious and plentiful. Could see no sign of life jackets anywhere!,
Shuttle bus paid for but when we got to the bus told it would take 5 hours to Kuta! Their solution was pay 1.2 million rupees for a taxi. We got that down to 500.000 but still think this was a scam. The receptionist and the whole stuff is incredibly lovely and helpful. They helpes us our with everything (rent a bike, find laundry service for us, book ferry ticket).
