The shoreline of this row of ancient cottages really does resemble the "other" Venice. The wind was howling the day we visited so the waves were crashing hard against the buildings, which added to the drama and beauty of this location. Best picture views are from the windmills.

    Wear comfortable shoes
Streets are narrow with bars and shops on each side .
People are great and food is awesome.
    Hoping to be back again.
Some of known brands are here

It’s the most iconic image of Mykonos , you can easily walk from Mykonos town and Little Venice.
There obviously lots of people everywhere but everyone seemed respectful of everyone else trying to get good shots
The windmills themselves are a little run down and there’s nothing in the area but a dirty scrub land area.

Worth a visit just for a photo or 2

Love the history of this old church, and the beautiful location makes it stunning for photos. We didn't go inside but did enjoy being able to walk around it.

We docked in the new port in our cruise ship and used the sea bus to get to the old port area.
€2 a ticket per person each way from the ticket office at either end , there’s no saving on a return ticket.
Double decker boat that takes approx 15-20 mins to get from port to port with other collection stops on the way.

Lovely way to get from port to port

We visited the island for just one day as part of cruise.
We came from the new port to visit the old port using the sea bus (see other review)
We visited the Little Venice area and the windmills from the old port.
The whole of the old port area was so beautiful and we just wandered and strolled.
Whilst we never really knew where we were it’s easy to remember downhill leads to the port.
The colour of the front door apparently relates to the trade of the person who lives within , blue for sailor / fisherman is the most common but there’s also a sprinkling of red and mustard.

Little archeological museum. Nice if you are interested in Greek history. Otherwise skip it.
Temporary exhibition on the Greek revolution. Nice to learn about national heroin Manto Mavrogenous, who was from Mykonos and the role the Russians played in this war of independence.
The museum is open although TripAdvisor says it is not.

The house was donated to the community by it’s last owner, Lena. Stepping into the house is stepping back in time to see how Myconians used to live before tourism hit and the houses were turned into bars and shops.
It will take you about 20mins to look at everything, there is a card in multiple languages with an explanation and when I was there the man on the desk gave some additional explanation too.
The entry fee is €2 which might seem a little steep for a 20 min visit but it is probably the cheapest thing you can buy in Mykonos and you are supporting the maintenance of a little pocket of local history - worth it in my opinion.

I have enjoyed a lot this beach. I have been on May of this year and it was really nice. Not too many people during that period and i felt like in paradise. Who likes and wants quiet places-beaches I suggest to go on May, after Mykonos is an island and there are too many tourists.
I loved that place and i will be again if i go to Mykonos.

Small museum that was packed with stuff. Interesting, but not really a must-see attraction. The curator was really friendly and helpful.
