What travelers are saying
- LoveTravel20787845 contributionsHad a walk at sunset - lovely beach set away from the hustle and bustle of Fanabe and Porto Colon. There are a number of bars and restaurants next to the beach.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ullamuayMilan, Italy1 contributionPros:
1. Stunning Scenery: The trail is breathtaking, with dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, and a peaceful waterfall at the end. The views of the gorge are unforgettable.
2. Well-Organized: The daily visitor limit keeps the area serene and ensures it's not overcrowded. The trail is well-marked, making navigation easy.
3. Rich Biodiversity: Spotting unique plants, birds, and even butterflies adds an exciting layer to the hike.
Cons:
1. Permit System: While the permit system preserves the environment, it requires advance planning, which might not suit spontaneous hikers.
2. Moderate Challenge: The trail is manageable for most, but the uneven paths and elevation changes could be challenging for beginners or those with mobility issues.
3. Waterfall Expectations: While beautiful, the waterfall at the end is relatively small, especially in dry months.
Overall, it feels like an adventure into Tenerife’s hidden beauty—a mix of tranquility, nature, and mild physical challenge. If you're in Tenerife, this is a hike you shouldn't miss!Written January 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. At Christmas time they had live music playing in cafe area. A nice place to escape from beach/resort life for a few hours. Location is good just a short walk from the beach. Mirrors outside toilet area are a fun addition.Written January 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Private Chef Roberto MeddaCosta Adeje, Spain217 contributionsLa Caleta National Park is an absolute paradise for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The park offers breathtaking coastal views, pristine waters, and a diverse landscape that ranges from rocky shores to lush greenery.
I love how well-preserved and tranquil the area feels—it’s a perfect spot for hiking, swimming, or simply enjoying the beauty of Tenerife’s coastline. The trails are well-marked, and each turn rewards you with stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The crystal-clear waters are ideal for snorkeling, revealing a vibrant underwater world that’s truly mesmerizing.
What makes La Caleta even more special is its sense of seclusion and connection to nature. It’s not overly crowded, allowing you to enjoy the serenity and unique charm of the park.
I highly recommend bringing comfortable shoes, plenty of water, and a camera to capture the unforgettable moments. Whether you're traveling alone, with friends, or family, La Caleta National Park is a must-visit destination that will leave you in awe of Tenerife’s natural beauty.
Thank you to those who work hard to maintain this stunning park—it’s a true treasure!Written December 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. is an outdoor centre in Peuto Colon. It consists of a selection of stores, shops, restaurants and cafes.
It is a very relaxed environment and consists of some well known stores.
All around the outside of the Centre are other shops selling all types of products.
The centre is by the side of a main bus route.Written December 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Graham T20 contributionsGreat beach but not enough sun beds or umbrellas.

There were plenty of small artisan market stalls a Sunday market which we found. The restaurants can be a little bit pricey and you definitely need Reservations but it’s well worth a visit.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MattAndLolBradford, UK511 contributionsThis was the nearest beach to our hotel, the Bougainville Playa & was easily reached by going out of the side gate near the boules court to the left of the hotel grounds & walking 2 minutes down a slope & some steps. It's a nice little bay with sunbeds if you want them, €6 per day & quite calm water because of the large stones making a breakwater on the left. There's plenty of bars, shops & restaurants next to it & you can walk on the promenade to Playa to the left & to Costa Adeje to the right. We first went for a paddle here as a family of 3 on Christmas Day with our Santa hats on, a lovely happy atmosphere with lots of people enjoying the sun, sea & sand ! 🎅 A pleasant, family friendly beach.Written January 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nichole DeanOxfordshire, UK431 contributionsWe specifically walked up to this particular shopping area because it has a Natura clothing store that I wanted to visit. Most of the rest of the shopping centre was pretty basic although it did have a supermarket in the basement which was very well kitted out. There are some nice restaurants along the edge and helpful bus stops, especially the one that offers a free bus to SiamMall. It’s not exactly a destination place but it gets the job done for food and a few staples.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JamesTywardreath, UK381 contributionsOur second trip, a plessant area with good access to plenty of cafe's, shops and bars. We love it, but we noticed it's statrting to look a bit tired here and there, litter, flaking paint and closed up businesses... DON'T let this put you off, it's vibrant and fun and very nice. There's loads of mobility scooters for hire, so access is good, and most areas along the sea- front are ramp access as well as stairs. I will say be careful of the flooring and pathways, they are mostyl tiles, regularly uneven and can be slippery even when dry.
If you book airport transfer it's about 25 minutes by coach, or 15 by taxi from TFS airport which is close enough to be convenient, but no noise from planes.
One thing to look out for, the lookie-lookie men selling fake goods, and various tenacious beggars 'giving you' bracelets and then hassling you for money. Be polite but firm, and tell them 'NO' and they soon walk away.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
