A great museum, a very enjoyable visit. Pina, gave us a very nice explanation of all these wonderful pieces.
There are so many beautiful examples of the local artists that so many centuries ago used the local clay to create masterpieces. Well worth a visit.

It’s always good to get to grips with the history of a place and, while the remains of this Roman amphitheatre aren’t on a par with the obviously more well-known sites in Italy, it is worth walking to. It’s not an authentic reconstruction, but has been restored so that the site can be used as a venue - much better than leaving it a a pile of stones. It would have benefitted from a little more interpretation - perhaps in the form of a diagrammatic representation of what it would have looked like. The ticket office building was sympathetic and the trees I felt added to the atmosphere of this place.

Very simple interior with beautiful art. Definitely worth a visit. We found it closed between 1pm and 330pm for siesta.

I have been to plenty of narrowest streets in the world and I liked this one because it is very tucked out of the way and there were no signs or anything stating that it was the narrowest street in the world, in fact it was so nondescript that if you hadn't seen it online you would definitely never know it was there...

Pleasant, nice thing to see for about 2 minutes. Narrow at one point and then leads out into a pleasant cobbled area with plants.. nice. Did I say pleasant?

On one of our trips to southern Italy we discovered a wine cellar near Troia in the neighboring Lucera, a town included in the D.O.C. Daunia Wine Route, in the heart of the Tavoliere delle Puglie, in the "Cantina la Marchesa" managed by Marika and Sergio, 15 hectares of vineyards around the winery worked strictly by hand with skill and great professionalism. This allows them to achieve quality in the cellar, consequently, from that is born the wine, 'Il Nerone della Marchesa' a red wine, made from one of the most important grape varieties produced by the company, Nero di Troia, an autochthonous variety of black grape. Marika and Sergio's mastery precisely because of that attention to a wine production, made with so much attention, and which then give rise to the five labels present in the Winery. Il Capriccio della Marchesa, Fiano 100%, Il Quadrello Bombino Bianco 100%; or reds like Cacc'è Mitte, a DOC wine, and, finally, a Rose " Il Melograno " of great success, made again with grapes 100% Nero di Troia, In addition to the beautiful winery and its products, we realized that the most important product of this company is "HEART and LOVE". They welcomed us with open arms, simplicity and humility. Of all the visits we have made to so many wineries, we will never forget this one.
Many thanks to Marika, Sergio and Giovanni.

The castle dating back to the 13th century. Looks impressive from distance. Currently only remnants of the castle and its walls are left. As many sight in this area. The castle was heavily damaged by an earthquake that struck the area in 1456. Unfortunately on Monday, the castle is closed. I did not mind as you can see a little bit inside and it did not impress me so much. Still there is a path around to walk around the walls to see the castle and the surroundings.
