The island is not inhabited. One reaches this island only by boat and, therefore, it is not very crowded. The view is wonderful, the water is appropriate for swimming, the beach is full of various shells. You may enjoy the sun or the shade of the trees. It is worth visiting, as part of a boat trip that will allow you to enjoy various spectacular views.

Found this beach while exploring the island on the moped, loved it! Away from the touristy areas so pretty quiet and not as many facilities. However certainly enough going on to spend the day or even stay at the hotel or bungalows.
Free bean bags and hammocks dotted about if you’re not mad about lying on the sand when it’s as hot as molten lava!
There’s a handful of restaurants spreading the length of the beach, we had a delicious chicken laab at the first one.
A lovely day out, and why I love exploring.

Kayaked from Koh Yao Noi to here. Is just as good as James Bond Island and without the swarms of tourist boats.
Once inside the small bay you are in awe of the giant limestone pinnacles that rise out of the water.
There is a small sheltered sandy beach to pull up on. Take the 2 min jungle trek to the opposite side of the island for more great views.

Visited Kian Bay beach on the north of Ko Yao Noi, Thailand as part of a self guided sea kayak paddle from the The Paradise Koh Yao Boutique Beach Resort & Spa. Kian Bay is about four kilometres anticlockwise around the Koh Yao Noi coast from the Paradise resort. Our self guided kayaks were available free as part of our stay at Koh Yao Noi Paradise. If kayaking. take all the water and food you need. Pick a calm sunny day. Use lots of sun cream. Wear a life jacket. Be safe. We kayaked around high tide and did not sense any currents.

The construction mentioned previously was setting up when we landed our kayak at Kian Bay beach back in May 2013. I was surprised to see construction commencing in what I understood was a Thai national park. However there was a property boundary sign on display at the time. Various trees and rock had ropes with tags on them, presumably as part of environmental controls. Out of ignorance of the real name, at the time we called Kian Bay "big tree beach" and wrote a review of kayaking to it here:

As a way to see remote scenic places like Kian Bay and Koh Kudu Yai Island, I would recommend the package we got and – a AUD$1K group buy voucher including airfares, 8 nights at Koh Yao Noi Paradise with breakfasts. But do your research. Be aware of isolation, prices, mud flat at low tide and water too murky for clear snorkeling. For the right person it is fabulous. Peaceful. Exciting. Marvellous holiday.

Probably the best cooking class I have ever done. Mina is an awesome teacher with a beautiful soul. The kids loved it and the food was next level authentic Thai.

We loved the hospitality of the staff (especially Chewy, who helped us to organise boat trips, ferries and gave general advice on anything we needed on the island) and the accomodation was in a beautiful location. Nice and relaxed vibe at the central pool/bar area too.

I did the Yoga Vacation program of 5 days and I had the best time. I chose it because of the Tai Chi lessons on the beach with the sunrise and I gained so much more (and fell in love with Tai Chi at the same time!). The retreat is well located on the island and in a quiet spot .

There are 2 yoga sessions a day (1h30 morning & 2h afternoon) and in the morning before the first session is a guided meditation class, where I found help with my solo meditation practice.

All yoga lessons with the 5 different teachers (Marcello, Lucy, Mariana, Nash & Molly-Rose) were all wonderful - I had only known one type of Yoga before and now I have discovered and practiced so many more and my body felt so well at the end of the week. These class were all-level and you get many occurrences that the teachers give you the different levels to practice at your level - and improve if that is your wish.
It was one of the best weeks of my life so thank you to all the staff and I hope to come back very soon!
If you are open to new experiences and wish to take care of yourself, go at your own pace and find some inner peace, this experience is for you!

Excellent massage in nice surroundings. I booked a 1 hour Thai massage for myself to help with shoulder pain. Helped me a lot.
My two daughters, 13 and two-year-old went the next day and both really enjoyed the experience.
