We did the tour 3185 xenotes oasis maya day trip with Manolo as our guide. He was the best and made the trip so much fun. I recommend wearing comfortable swim wear and bring a little cash for the tip. Everything is locked in the van and safe. Each stop had nice bathrooms and the tour was so well organized. They serve a nice lunch mid day. The xenotes were so nice and the entire day was made perfect by our guide Manolo. Tell him you want to do the Spiderman. He will know what you are talking about.

Drive past all the vendors trying to get you to sign up for a guide. It's not necessary. Drive down the road until you reach the cenote entrance. Parking is free, there is an entrance fee. In June 2022 we paid $70 for our family (2 adults, 2 kids). Bring your own or rent the snorkel and mask and bring an underwater flashlight. The entrance fee gives you access to the Eye 1 and Eye 2 cenotes. Totally worth the price of admission.

We went to Tulum with 9 family members. Our guide was pretty good and told us many interesting facts about the once walled city and its former inhabitants. It has a very interesting history and the remaining buildings are fascinating. The beach is full of seaweed and plastic waste and is very sad. It's too bad that you aren't allowed to go inside any of the structures. There are some signs explaining some of the history. It is well worth a visit.

Our family was blown away by the experience here. We went to the Casa Tortuga cenote before and it was nice, but super crowded and a tourist trap. This place is off the main road with a more exclusive feel. Both cost around the same, $36 per person. We purchased our package from the kiosk in the Tulum parking lot. There are so many cenote options to visit. This has to be a top choice. You go on a walking cave tour thru 600 meters of gorgeous cave formations , complete with stalactites , stalagmites, and even tree roots creeping down from the cave ceiling!!! Then you are led to an underground cenote which has a footbridge and is well lit, showing the colors of the water and the cave itself. The photos on this page are true. After this you get in your vehicle and drive 10 minutes to the next leg of the tour. It's the best part, as you are given life vests and masks, and a guide leads you down a cave entrance . Hundreds of freshwater fish are at the waters edge. You plunge into the cool water and go on a tour, again marveling at the cave formations. The water is so clear we thought we were in an aquarium. If you have snorkel bring it, as it's an amazingly clear pool of water filled with fish. Only 100 people visit per day .... you do need a car as it's way off the main road. Zoo is lousy and restaurant closed in June 2022. No matter, this was a highlight of trip.

A very nice lagoon for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing in the sun. Water is not as clear as it used to be but there are plenty of rock formations and fishes to enjoy. Watch the tides, there can be a strong outflow making the return swim a real effort. Gets overrun with tour groups in midday so go early or later in the afternoon.

Loved the idea of a park with multiple cenotes (5). In this park you can see all three types of existing cenotes (open cenotes, semi-open and underground).
You can also visit the park without a guide, but I strongly suggest to do a tour since you have access to the underground river and to a further cenote otherwise closed. We loved the tour with our guide Henry, who was clear in the explanations and knows several languages. Lunch was included in the experience and was ok, quite abundant. The tour includes life-jackets and water shoes.
The tour was about 2 hours, but after that you have lunch and some more time to explore the others cenotes; so in total count about 3/4 hours.

Had never snorkeled before, the cenote was beautiful, if a bit chilly. There wasn’t as much wildlife, but it was an amazing experience.
