Our family had a blast here. From underground rivers to snorkeling, there was endless fun. The park's focus on conservation was impressive, and the food was delicious. Despite the crowds, we had a great time together, making memories that will last a lifetime. Xcaret is a must-visit for families looking for adventure and relaxation.

My husband & I booked this tour through Carnival Cruise Lines on our stop in Cozumel. It was exciting to view the cavern and be able to swim too! Our guide, Dara, was excellent! I would highly recommend this tour

The view is amazing. However, the sun is quite strong, so you need Physical Strength . Also, there are no main ruins like Chichen Itza, so I think it's better to enjoy the historical atmosphere of Mayan civilization rather than a big impression. Don't forget to stay hydrated!

Three time visitor... it's still a good time. If you love the water, it's a must come. If you can't swim, they've got plenty of jackets to help you float.

Like some of the other folks had mentioned there are plenty of upsells here from swim with "dolphins, manta rays, manatees" oh, my! To be honest some of the experiences are worth doing at least once. The zip-bike experience, instance, give you a unique view of the rainforest and cenotes from a eagle eye view. You can ride on the fast boats anywhere, maybe, or have your feet cleaned and massaged by little fish, but really you could skip all that and be alright.

What is included is pretty good. We have enjoyed the lazy river, the cenotes, the caves, the floating bridge, zip bikes, the snorkeling, etc. It's all a good time.

This time I talked my kids into joining up the Lighthouse slides. Two things to do up there. You can 1) check out the 360-degree views and score some cool xelfies (band activated cameras) and/or 2) head down the slides from a height of 131 feet. The cool thing is that my kids were psyched out at the height, and the wind at height wasn't helping (nor were the folks zooming down the slides). They got up to the top, and exceeded expectations by not freaking out and jumping into the slide which landed them in a 4 foot pool at the end.

Plenty of fish to see amongst the rocks and edges... while on the Mayan Bridge which is connects the eastern edge of the park... it floats, or rather moves with the ocean... if you get seasick or motion sickness... maybe skip it. It's a good time though. We jumped in at one end of the bridge and ran into a barracuda... crazy.

Let's talk food. There are four restaurants that serve a variety of the traditional and fast foods. They have a place that serves grilled meats, a place that serves tacos, a place that's more fast food. It's all tasty. Along with the drink bars that serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the restaurants have aguas frescas... stay hydrated!

The park has snorkeling gear (masks and fins), lockers, everything you need is available here. The food is great. The attractions are plenty, and plenty more if you pay for them. It's a fantastic water park.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. A bucket list experience worth every single peso. We were a group of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids and a mix of Spanish and English speakers. Our bilingual guide, Johnny (Bravo) was amazing!! One of the children was scared of the cave and Johnny set her up as his “co-pilot” with a life preserver that he did not let go of while the adults were exploring the cave. And the cave, whoa! The bats are so cute!!! The water is refreshing bordering on chilly and they offer wetsuits for thems that want ‘em. Johnny’s sense of humor had us cracking up, and he was great about warning us to watch our knees sand heads at tricky parts. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

I bought the Dry Cave and the Zip Line experiences. I showed up pretty soon after they opened so it wasn't crowded at all.

Andres, Joshua, and George led me through the zip line course and were great at showing me what to do. It was a really thrilling experience gliding through the jungle with them.

For the dry cave tour, Jaime led me through everything and explaining all the little quirks of the caves. He was really informative and a great guide.

As far as getting there, I had a rental car. It's about a 2km drive up a winding dirt road but you can also catch a shuttle at the entrance if you're not driving I believe.

My wife and I stayed up in Playa Mujeres this past week and rented a car and drove down to Akumel Beach to swim with the Sea Turtles on our own time without being wrapped up with a tour group ( highly recommend, Mexico is safe to drive around). When we got to the Central Ecological Center (CEA) which I recommend because for 7 dollars entry to the beach you get clean bathrooms, showers, and lockers ( 7 dollars refundable extra for a lock)and free parking at the lot 100 yards post the center on the left. You can go snorkeling on the beach on your own but are confined to the Green Zone which is about 150 feet off the beach and the Turtles DO NOT really come to that area. The center offers 3 different tours from large group, mid size group, or private tour just for your group. We chose the private as it was 200 Pesos ( 12 USD) more than the other tour!! We were taken out to the reef area about 1000 yards from the beach by a 2 minute boat ride and were in the water with our guide Miguel among all the sea grass where the turtles eat and live. We had our snorkel gear which they are fine with but you must wear one of their vests for liability reasons ( included in price ) . We had bought the full face snorkels off Amazon ( about 25 dollars) for this trip and i have to say they are awesome, can breathe through nose or mouth and not sticking something in your mouth 200 others have used!! They are safe and improved and there is NO risk of breathing like older models. We saw a stingray, Cuttlefish, 20 different kinds of fish and reef life and YES, A SEA TURTLE!! Our guide Miguel took about 18 Go-Pro videos of the session and after drying off and changing showed them to us with the offer of if we liked and wanted them, just give him a tip we thought appropriate, YES we took them. I will tell you this is very uncommon as most places want to sell you pictures at outrageous prices... Because we weren't tied to a tour company, we had all the time in the world to roam the beach, eat lunch in a beachfront wonderful restaurant right on site called Lol-Ha, and shop in a small Folk Art shop next to the restaurant all filled with local homemade and painted goods. Most items signed by the local artist and the village they are from. We spent about 5 hours total on the beach instead of the 1 hour visiting time the tour companies give. My advice would be take off on your own and explore, areas are safe, driving is easy and direct, loads of police patrol highways and areas. Mark

We were lucky enough to be able to visit the cenote in a group of four with Angelo as our guide. It was a great experience and Angelo's explanations were super. He took us on an unforgettable tour of the cenote. It's a little insider tip to visit this cenote.

We had a great experience. The drive to the cenote was a long dirt road. Once we got there the staff was excellent. Our gear was clean and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was a beautiful experience!

Great vibrant place with lots of live entertainment. Be careful of two for one drink offers (watered down) and hidden inclusive tips on your bill.
It’s very touristy with endless street vendors trying to sell all sorts.
There are some excellent restaurants like Harry’s.
it’s a fun location to kick back and relax.

What an amazing experience! We waded through underground rivers, swam in cenotes and even took a 20 foot dive into the water. Our guide was amazing and lunch was good too. Highly recommend.
