My husband and I were looking for something to do during our winter weekend away. We are so glad that we stumbled on this gem of a location. Sara was so fun to chat with, and so knowledgeable during our cider/wine tasting….the coconut lime cider was divine! And my husband really enjoyed talking with David. What a lovely couple. We will most definitely be back if we are in the area again!

My girlfriend and I spent a weekend in the Berkshires and a big reason for the trip was to see the fall foliage. This place didn't disappoint; it sits atop a hill overlooking a big field with a lake and mountain backdrop. Being at this winery gave us everything we were looking for in this trip; beautiful scenes, great wine, and a fun environment. Even on a rainy day, this place is gorgeous. Directly on the property, they have a rotating food truck that provides great options for their customers.

Everything about our experience here was already outstanding, but after a few hours, my girlfriend and I realized that finding an uber out of this area was close to impossible. As the winery is closing and most of the patrons have left, we’re standing in the main room coming to terms that we may have to walk 2+ hours back to our hotel. Suddenly, one of the owners, Donna, approaches us and asks us if we need a ride home. We couldn't believe she was serious, but she was hellbent on making sure we got home safe. Next thing we know, she’s swinging her car around front and corralling us (along with another group of stranded customers!) into her car! She got everyone home safe and refused any compensation for her generosity.

She was amazing company and her act of kindness was the highlight our trip. If you’re visiting the Berkshires, do yourself a favor and visit Balderdash Cellars.

Stopped on a Monday afternoon in early December and had the whole tasting area to my self.
The bartender was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the products which included about a dozen bottles: gin, rum, vodka, rye and bourbon.
Only tasted the gins and bourbon ( saving rye, vodka and rum for another visit).
Both the Greylock Gin and Berkshire Bourbon were my favorites and I purchased a bottle of each.
The Greylock is probably one of the best gins I have ever tasted.
The distillery is definitely worth a visit.
Look forward to returning for a tour, more tastings and purchases.

We were thoroughly impressed with their award winning wines. Its a shame that they are closing but I brought back 4 cases of the Estate Marlborough and 2 of the Entourage anticipating their increase in value! As a wine sommelier I am confident that there Marlborough estate wine is a collectible.

Great beer and outdoor area. Perfect treat after Mass MOCA visit. Tried the Köld, was refreshing and tasty. Look forward to a return visit.

Using the brewery passport app for iPhone I found Wandering Star brewing. It’s located in an unassuming garage on. A narrow side street. Parking from what I saw needs to be creative.
After the step down into the establishment it was clear to see this was a popular spot.

The brewer was busy filling pints and growlers. The “overlord” cat-a beautiful tortie kitty- was overseeing the bar area. I asked if dogs were allowed and YES they are just need to be leashed.
Friendly customers. Dog friendly. Tasty beer. I had a wobble ipa and left with a growler filled w cream wheat.

A regular or customer told me that in nice weather the garage doors are open and there is a larger venue w giant Jenga games.
Beer was reliable. Dog friendly. Friendly customers and good beer

First time visit, we tried the new Grisette beer and it was awesome! Grisette is also the name of their newly adopted cat. He appears to be a grumpy cat but very cool! The team was energetic and kind, also full of knowledge. The atmosphere is fun and laid back and furry friends are allowed to join in the mingling. Big Elm donated partial proceeds to the Berkshire Humane Society. I love the beer, atmosphere and kindness. I will visit again.

Great little place, although took a bit to find it. I did the sampling menu and got to try all the flavors. I was hoping to buy the "Silver Bear Barely Filtered" as I like to taste my alcohol but alias it was not for sale.

The popcorn was delicious and free.

I did buy a sampling of the other flavors.

Great dry ciders in a cool renovated industrial space. The tasting room is inside their production facility so you get to see behind the scenes where the cider is made. Perfect after a long day of hiking or seeing art at Mass MoCA. Get a flight (or two) and take home some bottles to remind you of the Berkshires!

We drove over from Lee to come here and boy was it a great day. We ended up sitting in their sun room which can get very toasty (nice during the winter) and soaked in some beers while watching the NFL game on our phones. The staff was super friendly and so where all the dogs that came in and enjoyed their day with us as well. They have a great selection of beers and seltzers. You can easily get a 4 pack or growler for the road. We loved their Gerry stout and the lemonade seltzer. We really found this to be the type of place you can lounge at and enjoy each other's company. They didn't have any TVs, so keep that in mind. This is more a place where you hang with your people as the first priority.

Nice spot in downtown area. Parking options and space is the only reason not a 5 star. Solid beer list and great staff. Will easily try again if in area!!

Even in the off-season, the gardens and grounds are beautiful! So much to look at in many different scenes! All the plants are labeled so you know what they are! Very helpful! Lovely place for a stroll!
