The cathedral is a wonderful building - the highlights for me are the lady chapel, the Choir and the many carved memorials of the knights and bishops.

We have been into the Cathedral before but were keen to see the exhibition in the restored library the building is free to enter which is always nice and has an excellent cafe with a pleasant outside area in good...
An extension to the cathedral to exhibit the mappamundy and the chained library is well worth a visit if you are interested in how the earth was drawn by early scholars as well of volumes of medieval books.

Lovely church with the gargoyles round the tiniest of door Some interesting history and well worth a visit..
After a most enjoyable lunch at The Kilpeck Inn, the 4 of us walked across the road, 200m to this gem.

This was offset by areas on each floor of interactive things to touch, put on, or play with For £2.50 per adult, this was a very good value visit which kept us occupied for over an hour

Absolutely Beautiful mountain is the Skirrid and walking up is a pleasure for the views alone, Please note that from the National trust Car park the climb up through the woods is steep and muddy , but worth it

After wards, we visited the Hereford Model Engineering Club to see the model steam trains. 2 very interesting visits in 1 day - a real treat!
