You can walk on the city walls or just wander through the charming streets. There were so many cute and funny details to discover. If you enjoy model railways or are travelling with children, it's an absolute must-see! There is a very nice cafe with good food and a nice selection of locally produced beer. But not to be. Learnt that it opens on June 18th, classed as the beginning of the Summer Season.
However it was good to see the delightful building that dates from 1775. The suite we rented was elegantly furnished, clean and nice with a classic feeling.
The food service is very good and the courses was always elegantly presented and on time.
The experience of this traditional but unique hotel is very exciting, the island where it is located is great for hikes with beautiful costal surroundings.

The biggest attraction for me: Villa Ekheim, Norway's largest private wooden building. Built in the classical Norwegian Dragon Style. Beautifully restored. She gave detailed directions to Kongsten fort and history thereof. The foyer type bar on the same floor works great and you can bring drinks unto the theatre.
Downstairs is what looks like is a very popular and good restaurant that I would very much like to try out for lunch and dinner next. With almost 150 artists in association it hosts numerous exhibitions every year.
