We visited as a group from our Scenic River Cruise . We had a guide show us around. On occasions he was a little hard to hear as he preferred to talk rather than use the microphone with our earpiece box .

We saw a film first about how the barriers were engineered & why they were put up . It was fascinating and very interesting.

We then went into a 360 room that showed how frightening the floods of 1953 must have been, there were special effects that were very realistic. We had a look around the exhibit and went to see the barriers up close .

We would have liked more time here to walk around on our own to look at the exhibition.

Although we didn’t see this , there are other attractions here . There was a restaurant too.

Glad we chose this to come & see. Would recommend a visit

You can visit the inside of the deltaworks together with a guide who gives details and information about the history of this modern world wonder of engineering. The park is not only the deltaworks but also a waterplay park for kids, sealshow sealio show, aquarium, information about the flood disaster in 1953. For the guided tour you need to pay 3,50 euro extra and a boattrip on the Oosterschelde is another 4 euro extra. All by all It's pretty expensive specially in autumn and winter because some parts of the park are closed.

The nature is beautiful, unfortunately there are barriers everywhere - we were basically just going from one barrier to another with our baby pram. Also dogs are not allowed inside.

The entrance costs 1€ which is okay. Parking lot is only for free in the off season (November - March).

Han is an accomplished trainer, and horseman. His horses range from Belgium warmbloods, to Halflinger crosses and they are all extremely high quality and enjoyable to ride. Many of his horses he has bred, raised and trained himself. We absolutely loved our experience with Han. We didn't feel rushed whatsoever and he is incredibly fun to talk to and ride with. He competes his horses in Show Jumping in the region actively, and as fellow equestrians, we loved learning more about the dutch equestrian culture. In addition to Han's hospitality, he takes incredible care of his horses. Han takes extra care to make sure his horses only trot or canter in the areas of the beach with good footing and it's apparent he loves his horses. The horses were extremely fit and happy and fun to ride! We enjoyed lots of trotting and cantering, and rode along the beach, and some trails leading back to the barn. This was the highlight of our trip, and we would surely be back to Han's stable when we return on our next vacation.
