What travelers are saying
- glowbutterflyTurnhout, Belgium43 contributionsWe loved our visit to this sheep farm. The animals were so cute and we had a lot of fun - even without children in tow. Be sure to stay for the herding demonstration, it was the highlight of our visit!
If you do have kids, you might have to factor in more time as there's an amazing play area outside as well.Written March 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - The Travel Couple - Chathu & IshankaKalutara, Sri Lanka927 contributionsVery beautiful place to stay closer to nature. There are walking paths through the dunes and those will take you to different landscapes. The wind here can be so strong and as a result it will be so cold. You don't see big trees here although it is a national park, mostly small bushes and sand dunes. But the views are amazing. Ideal for an evening walk.Written September 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- glowbutterflyTurnhout, Belgium43 contributionsMy partner and I visited Ecomare after having done a seal boat tour (by which we were gravely disappointed, but that's another story), and although we only had 1,5 hour to spend there before closing time, we were very impressed. The aquarium is a bit dated, but both the exhibition on plastic etc. and the whale room were excellent. I would have loved more information on their rescue missions though.
The absolute highlight however were the feeding times, where we could actually see the seals and their personalities, and talked to one of the zoo keepers, which we enjoyed immensely. Be sure to stay a little bit after all the outside animals have been fed and position yourself in front of the window at the sanctuary, where the weakes seals are taken care of. You can see real behind-the-scenes action there.Written March 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - BaukjeZHLeiden, The Netherlands289 contributionsGreat explanation about how cheese is made and delicious cheese from the shop! Also lovely cafe for drinks with cake or sandwich, seating inside and outside.Written August 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Yvonne VFennell Bay, Australia52 contributionsAgain you have not failed to impress. Today I arrived late for the birds of prey show, but went in to view the changes made since I was here last year. Added a few more different attractions, which were set out and housed very well. Always makes me smile to walk around your tropical area and have the birds flying past me. Love the interaction and watching people spot another beautiful bird, where to look first! Well done will continue to visit every year when I come to visit family.Written July 3, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Claire NFrankfurt, Germany91 contributionsThis is a really quirky museum that the whole family enjoyed. It’s mind-blowing how much stuff can be retrieved from the sea - the love box was my favorite! Cake, coffee & playground at the end was also very welcome!Written August 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
