What travelers are saying
- NICHOLAS TDubai, United Arab Emirates11,103 contributionsEverywhere you look in central Noto is a stunning building. It is quite surreal to walk around. Most of the churches can be entered just for a donation but no set entrance fee.
Amongst the historical wonders are lots of nice retail and food and beverage outlets.

Debris. Once your got through it the water was clear and refreshing. 3,500 e to park and 3 e for park ticket.Written June 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Really good facilities, reasonably priced food and drink, and a relaxed atmosphere..Written August 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Katharine Z107 contributionsThis beach is part of the vendacari reserve. When we visited in September we followed the signs from the main road. It is a dirt track / unmade up road to a car park that charged 3 euro. You then walk back to the entrance of the reserve where they were taking temperature checks, and recording visitor details for track and trace. Entry to the reserve was then another 3 or 3.5 euros( can’t quite remember!) per person. There is a family ticket but this is just for immediate family (eg 2 adults with children) it can’t be used for siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles etc (there was a long argument going on about this in Italian!)
You then walk into the reserve to the beach. It’s a good 20 mins when you are carrying all your beach stuff and in the heat (no shade) so come prepared. Eventually you get to steps down to the beach. The beach is a cove and very pretty, although being a nature reserve the sand had quite a bit of natural debris (pieces of wood etc) so don’t expect immaculate groomed sand. There are no facilities (as you would expect) so you need to bring EVERYTHING with you. It was very windy the day we went, not sure if that is normal so it made it hard to keep an umbrella up and there were waves in the sea- but still very nice for a swim. We didn’t explore other beaches on the reserve but good for at least one visit. However I think there were overall nicer beaches in the area.Written September 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The new is the result of reconstruction starting in the late 1990s, which has resulted in vibrant colors on the ceiling paintings and also in the stained-glass windows.Written October 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hockeydad97St-Lazare189 contributionsNice beach. Water is beautiful and clear. You can go out 30 yards and be waist deep.
Short beach though and not very deep.
No problem parking on the street, also parking lots available.

The interior features frescoed ceilings. It belonged to the Nicolachi family who acquired their fortune from the tuna industry. It's been renovated since having been taken over by Noto. It's an interesting look inside the life of a wealthy Sicilian family.Written October 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great way to see the town and the inside of the church.Written October 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Seeking True QualityEurope5,009 contributionsExcept for a short detour, our walking tour was exclusively following this street. Unfortunately, we did not have much free time to visit the side streets and enter some palaces we saw only from the outside.Written April 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GattoViziatoUnited States846 contributionsA bit disorganized. We were thankful to have prebooked. The staff are young kids who need more experience and training. Parking was probably the easiest part in the paid lot across the street. We booked Lido Plus but I can't say we got anything more for the Plus part. It all looked the same to us. The beach is crystal water and nice sand. We found it odd that they do not include towels with your stay. Most higher end beaches include towels. As other reviewers have stated, the app does not function well. Their fruit is fresh and great in the heat, but our lunch at their restaurant was average. The pasta was not cooked or close to al dente in two dishes, a nightmare to try to chew with good teeth. Wish we had all ordered the pizzas instead. They advertise that if you pay Lido Plus that you get a special restaurant. We were simply seated with the regular beach goers in the chaos with flies everywhere. Bathrooms need to be improved and the showers really truly need solar hot water heaters-hard to convince kids to get under freezing water to get clean. They're trying, but it needs improvements. It's a shame because the beach is unbelievable.Written July 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Claude MVence, France998 contributionsWe stopped at Noto Antica during a bike ride. WE took time to visit the ruins of the initial town which collapsed during the 1693 earthquake. Educational signs explain the ruins and set the context for the reconstruction a few miles away.
