sa marina...a beautiful white cravel beach...is located near bari sardo and the neighbourbeach of spiaggia torre di bari, which is sandy and completely different. sa marina is easy reachable by car. the parking place is very close to the beach and we didn´t pay any parking fee.
after one minute walk we arrived at sa marina...a white wide line of small white gravel. it was not easy to walk, because the stuff of the beach let us sink in very deep. we saw some granite cliffs close the near northend...there we spreaded out our towels, because is was the only shady place in the afternoon sun we found and we forgot our parasols. sunprotection in any style should be obligatory at sa marina.
at the northend the torre di bari is located...nice to visit, but closed. at the tower it is possible to watch into the sandy bay of torre di bari...beautiful colours and not so high waves like at sa marina, which is more open to the sea.
sa marina slopes steep into the sea and already after a few meters it is possible to loose the ground under the feet. because of that it is not such a good place for families with small children...also because of the waves, which were high on this day. we went in the water and it made fun to play with them, but everybody should take attention because of the currents. moving out of the water is also not easy, because the ground is very soft and the waterfont steep for maybe one a half meters. older guest should think about it.
we can recomment sa marina very much. we had a relaxed and peaceful afternoon there. the beach was quiet and only a few other people were around. everything was perfect.
