We've been to Rainbow Town dozens of times since it first opened, yes it is expensive, but it is huge, Lollipops, Crocs etc charge $18-24 to go in to a plat centre that is only just bigger than the ball pit at Rainbow Town. Included with the $34 entry is the huge trampoline area and for kids that are old enough, the Rock Climbing wall too. For an extra $10 they can also get a ride on the huge bumper cars.

The Play centre has undergone renovations in the last year, the tube slide has been upgraded, the ball pit has higher walls, there is a brand new baby / toddler play area and what used to be the ride on cars area, has now been opened up in to a huge new dining room with dozens more tables and chairs (at least triple what was available 18 months ago). There are also additional toilets in the back of the play centre down neat the bumper cars meaning that kids (who often leave it too late when distracted) can get to the toilets faster.

The wetlands abut part of the Dandenong Creek trail from Highbury Rd Vermont South, to High St Rd Glen Waverley. .
The wetland stretch for about 2k on an unmade track. Although reasonable well maintained, after rain it does form many large puddles.

For the bird watcher there is a hide overlooking the betlands.

I have been wa;lking sections of this trail for some years and it never ceases to provide a relaxing experience.

There are 3 sections to the shared bike pedestrian trail:

Upper Dandenong Creek – Heathmont to Jells Park
Middle Dandenong Creek – Jells Park to Dandenong
Lower Dandenong Creek - Dandenong to Patterson Lakes

    The trail totals 44 K

I usually commence at the Burwood Rd entrance and behind the Morack TRd Golf Course on a wooden walkway and travel towards Heathmont.

The path is well maintained and interesting.

Being a shared path walkers need to be a little carfeful as some riders believe they are in an Olympic cycling event, and it can be a bit dicey at times.

Opposite Brandon park shopping center and tucked in behind the police and fire station this is a large park area with soccer fields. Has a great playground, paved walking track around the outside and gradual hills.

Great area to walk the dog.

Unless you use the facilities such as the community hall and oval, I am not sure one would come to this part for its own, even the area has pleasant vibe.

There is a spelling error for the title of this thread, by the first reviewer. It should be Bogong Reserve.

My wife and I drove here for a walk and to see what this place is, as we were in the area for lunch at a local restaurant near Glen Waverley train station.

This place is open space, with a walking track, a playground, grass, trees and shrubs. Good for some physical exercise.

at first glance it looks like an okay playground. but at second glance you’ll a great bushland reserve.
TIP: 4 street access points- Hinkler Rd East (best spot to access playground) Daryl Ave, Wolseley Ave (great bushland access) and Rolls Crt
