It is a really big tree, the square is lively too and there are places for drinks and bubbles in the shade.

Great play park just below but keep an eye on the edges as there are some unguarded drop offs!

The creation of an elderly German lady with a glorious eye for colour and shape, this is stuffed with wonderful plants and trees (and somewhat too many quirky bits of sculpture). A series of terraces, pools, Mediterranean plantings of spectacular iris, roses, aquilegia, herbs and vegetables all joined by winding "serpentine" paths and steps it was a joy to visit.

Today we were a group of 2 families with children aged 10 to 17. The staff was very professional, followed the safety instructions and was very tolerant even though the children and the mothers were very afraid at first. The staff with a lot of patience waited and calmly explained everything. At the end of the route, all of us, including the children, really enjoyed the amazing experience, highly recommend it.

We hiked on several trails in Pelion: the loveliest and the easiest, about one hour to and fro, is the Centaur's Path, in Portaria - which I highly recommend even for kids and for unexperienced people.
Another one starts in Milina, goes through Kidhonies, Pighes, and back to Milina (2-3h). It took us through lovely olive groves with nice views of the Pagassitic Gulf, Milina and Horto, though it was not marked (we followed the instructions we found on the Internet).
Another one was Afissos - Afetes - Afissos (2-3h). This was well marked up to a point (when we reached Afetes), but we couldn't find the markings for the way back, so we took the asphalt road, which was longer, but nice, through olive orchards, with a nice view to the Pagasssitic Gulf.
Another hike we really loved was Milina - Lafkos - Milina (2-3h), with very nice kalderimi through olive groves, with nice views from Lafkos, with a nice spring near a very old plane tree in Lafkos, and another spring on the way back, near a small church, Panagia Mesosporitissa. This was definitely among my favourite hikes!
We also hiked from Fakistra to Damouhari and back, but we didn't really enjoy that trail so much. However, there are plenty of trails to choose from all over Pelion.
