- FXJIWANTOSurabaya, Indonesia1,246 contributionsThese islands are located in a lake. The famous island are Pinus 1, Pinus 2 and Sirang.
Pinus means pines, so there are many pine trees there. But for Sirang Island, there are only 2 big trees while the island is so low that it will disappear in rainy season when the water rise.Written September 17, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On the way we saw the bamboos plants, the ( nature) swimming pool and new build cottages. At the top of Mandiangin is the best place to enjoy the mountain and the areaWritten January 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Its affordable location and strategy are what make tourists visiting Banjarmasin certainly not miss the opportunity to visit Kaladan's mature hill.
Even the cost of going to the hill is affordable, we only need to pay Rp. 10,000, can already enjoy the excellent view above, enjoy the various uniqueness of the photo spots provided.
Tired of walking to the ripe ripe peak, you will be greeted with green trees, beautiful views of the lake / reservoir and the various surrounding villages that will refresh our eyes. This is the ripe kaladan Raja Ampat Kalimantan.Written October 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The park consist of several themes, from children playground, pet area, outbound and education, water park, fruit area, and many more. We require to buy an entry ticket, and another ticket if we want to enter some theme park. But, there are some free ticket theme park like labyrinth and arcade game. However, those free facilities are poorly maintained.
I think the entry ticket rather expensive, especially we need to pay extra ticket for each theme.
The park has large unpaved parking place.
I recommend to visit it in the early morning or in the late afternoon to avoid extra hot during the noon.Written August 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AATourBorneoPalangkaraya, Indonesia295 contributionsWith my wife googling with area interest in southborneo near Banjarbaru, and google say this lake. I try find picture and area. That look easy to go. Just only by suggest on google map. We find only around 20-30 minute by motorcycle. Need used boat go to island 5k, ticket entrance 5-10k. Not more interesting view, specially for can see clear water at lake. But you can enjoy sleep in hamoch, or drink coconut. Swim nice idea too.Written March 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ME_45 contributionsThis lake used to be a mine. It was turned into a place to have a meal or drink. There is a parking lot (small fee). A little boat takes passengers to the other side of the lake. There are plenty of Photo and Selfie spots. Do not expect to go swimming or sunbathing overhere.Written August 24, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - yousufkurniawanBanjarbaru, Indonesia158 contributionsI revisited this museum after 15 years. At glance, the interior have been heavy renovated and many collection have been refurbished. Some new collection also added especially the miniature of traditional houses. The lighting is far better than before which add more dramatic on the dioramas. Only the of H.E. Arsyad Al-Banjary section who are not changed.
However, some historical collections and short history related to Banjar War have been removed. The cultural collection belong to other tribe, such as Dayak, Bali, Java, Bugis, etc. who stayed in South Kalimantan also can't be found. In short, this museum is only describe Banjarese culture, not South Kalimantan as a whole.
In addition, this museum also lack of interactivity. The interactive features (who were almost broken before) have been removed completely. Fortunately, the diorama captions give more information, even though it will make the student bored.
Actually, this museum compound has some good facilities. They have technology and technical building which can be showed to the visitors. However, those building were closed for public. Maybe it need a lot paper work for permit to visit those.Written March 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some of the houses have beautifull and detailed wallpaintings. Most of the wallpaintings depict typical Borneo themes, like wildlife. The initiative gives a positive impuls to a Kampung that would otherwise have not looked much different than all of the other Kampungs in Banjarbaru and throughout Indonesia.Written August 24, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - yousufkurniawanBanjarbaru, Indonesia158 contributionsThere are two site of Diamond mine, Sungai Tiung and Sungai Pumpung. I recommend Sungai Pumpung since it has bigger mining. I suggest to wear sunglasses, cap or umbrella, comfortable clothes, and boots.
You can enter the site by yourself, but it is suggested that you ask a guide. He know which parts are dangerous (landslide) and he can take you to friendly miner. The guide is free if you buy some gemstones from him. If you want to talk or take a picture with miners, I suggest you give some money to them (Rp 5000 - Rp 10000 per miner).Written September 24, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But QMall Banjarbaru is the exception. The prayer place is really huge mosque at the 3rd floor, or 4th floor. The comfortable wudzu place is also provided. Bless to the owner of the mall who neglect opportunity profit to satisfy Muslim community.Written December 23, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KarsiniwatiArnhem, The Netherlands286 contributionsMr Van der Pijl was the Dutch man who design the Banjar baru area. It aimed for the government buildings and inclusive the housing for the civil servants. Pitty, lots of buildings were " re- designed" as well as the park from Mr. Van der Pijl.Written January 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - yousufkurniawanBanjarbaru, Indonesia158 contributionsI rated low because the house is already collapse because of its old wooden structure and soil erosion.
