For staters, yes it was raining when we were on this excursion, but it didn't matter, you are provided head to toe waterproofs which are also insulated, so unless it is cold I'd wouldn't wear too many layers or you'll be too warm.
Nothing against the other boats or pilots but we dropped on, the boat we were taken out on looked like something out of a action film and was ridiculously quick, coupled with the fact that our pilot introduced himself as "dangerous" (his main job is with the coast guard, which I assume where his love of boats and putting them through their paces comes from).
One the way out we got a taste of the speed of the boat, which I believe could go a lot faster than we went, not that we were going slowly. "Dangerous" made several stops giving us some history of the fjojd farms and water falls which is very interesting and gives you a taster of what life would have been like for families in days gone by. On the way back we got, in my opinion, a little taste of what the boat could handle like as "dangerous" made a few twists and turns across the other boats wakes to bounce us about a little.
We booked it direct and it was better value this way as opposed to booking it via the cruise company by the way.
All in all, this is a very good trip, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it and like I say, no offence to his colleagues if you do happen upon "Dangerous" I think he added a hearty dose of fun into the proceedings !
